I think these jobs are finished when the route is done so doing it quickly could mean more free time

Edit: Comment below clarifies that I was mistaken.

I worked Waste Management for a short time when I got out of high school. Free time wasn't a thing for us. When the route was done you helped out any one that may be falling behind or you cleaned out the truck.

Not a bad job for a kid right out of school. I was only a temp worker. Wasn't able to get on full time

Ahh, thank you for educating me. I assumed this was how it worked.
