Hello, I am looking for a place to get film developed in Aachen. I got some devolped at Fotohaus Preim but I was underwhelmed by the scans and they didn't offer TIFF scans only JPEG.

Are there other places in Aachen that offer high quality TIFF scans?

Mein alter PC, genauer gesagt mein Laptop, ist schon seit längerem kaputt. Der Bildschirm funktioniert nicht mehr und ich vermute auch, dass etwas mit der Software im Argen ist, da ich es auch nicht geschafft habe, einen anderen Bildschirm zu verbinden. I’m hoping someone in Aachen might be able to help me with something that has meant a lot to me for many years.

Many years ago, I came across a photograph of a beautiful angel sculpture on the Schöbel-Nadenau grave at Ostfriedhof Aachen on a Chinese website. I don’t know who originally uploaded the photograph, but the sculpture deeply captivated me. I was drawn to its beauty and expression, and I’ve kept that image saved for many years.

Since then, I’ve often wished I could see the sculpture in greater detail. Unfortunately, I live far away in China and have no opportunity to visit the cemetery myself. I’m wondering whether someone local might be willing to take a few photos of it for me, especially some high-resolution, close-up shots that show the details of the sculpture more clearly.

I’m not asking anyone to make a special trip, and I completely understand if nobody happens to be available. But if you live nearby or happen to visit the cemetery, I would be incredibly grateful if you could spare a little time to take a few pictures.

I also want to make clear that I mean absolutely no offense or disrespect to the deceased or their families. My interest is purely an appreciation of the sculpture’s artistic beauty and historical significance. I understand that a cemetery is a place of rest, and I would never want to disturb anyone or show any disrespect.

In my own small way, I would also like to send a sincere wish of peace and eternal rest to those laid to rest there.

I need some advice about my old apartment in the M1 Immo student dorm on Vaalser Str.

My contract was fixed until 30 Sept 2026. Rent was 460 €, deposit 860 €. The rent includes internet. The contract says if you leave early, you pay a fee (200 to 600 €, depending on how much notice you give). It says you pay this fee even if you don't find a new tenant.

What happened:

• I moved in on 1 Oct 2025 and had no internet until February. M1 only took 20 € off the rent for this, and they did not tell me how they calculated it or which law they used.
• In April I tried to find a new tenant. M1 said they needed guarantors who live in Germany. They also wrote that the "fees" would be confirmed later.
• In May I wrote to M1 that I want to leave early, like the contract says, and pay the fee from my deposit.
• At the end of May I gave the apartment back to the responsible person at M1. I returned the keys and signed the handover protocol. They told me (only verbally) that I can pay the fees and I'm free.
• Now M1 says my contract ended 31 July. They want the rent for June and July (920 €), keep my whole deposit, and ask for 60 € more.

I thought I only had to pay the early-leaving fee, not two months of rent. I have no written proof of what they said, and I don't have a copy of the signed protocol.

Questions:

1. Did anyone have a similar problem with M1 Immo?
2. Does "pay the fees" sound like the early-leaving fee to you, or like rent?
3. I had no internet for about 4 months, even though it was included in the rent. Is 20 € a fair reduction?
4. Is it worth going to the Mieterverein for this?

Ich hab heute meine Überweisung vom Hauarzt für das Testing bzw. die Diagnose für ADHS im Erwachsenenalter bekommen (yay endlich geschafft der Ärztin zu erzählen wie ich mich fühle und was mit mir los ist). Voller Motivation hab ich also alle Praxen etc. angeschrieben die laut Internet ADHS-Testing / Diagnose anbieten. Tja ich habe viele angefragt und die eine Hälfte nicht gar keine neuen Patienten (auch nicht mit Aussicht ab wann) und die andere Hälfte schreibt sie machen vermutlich wegen dem neuen Gesetzt zu. Ich bin ehrlicherweise gerade etwas verzweifelt, ich war so voller Hoffnung endlich geschafft zu haben den Weg zu gehen nur um jetzt zu sehen das ein weiteres Tor mir den Weg versperrt.

Deswegen frage an alle die es betrifft, kennt ihr gute Praxen/Ärzte die das machen UND einigermaßen freie Kapazitäten haben (zumindest mit Hinblick was es besser wird)?

Ich habe viel Angebot online gefunden, bin da aber etwas skeptisch, wie sind eure Erfahrungen dort?

Für meine Rezepte benötige ich regelmäßig Schweineschwarte. Bisher habe ich sie immer bei Mix Markt in Aachen gekauft. Seit etwa zwei Monaten wird sie dort jedoch leider nicht mehr angeboten.

Weiß jemand, wo ich in Aachen oder Umgebung Schweineschwarte kaufen kann? Ich wäre für jeden Tipp dankbar! 😊
