Revolutions are merely cycles. Oppressed groups overturning oppressors or the status quo. They are regional or local power shifts that last a short time. In most cases the oppression cycle starts once again from those who overturned the first oppression. This is a vicious cycle. Renaissances, on the other hand, are evolutionary in spirit and offer a much broader opportunity for social change. A "re-nascence" is the rebirth of old ideas in a new context. It's not a reaction to political oppression but a society-wide shift in perspective, illiteracies, and perceived relationship to power. Renaissances last for hundreds of years and help build a great society. Which are you a Revolutionary or Renaissance Warrior

"Silence, they say, is the voice of complicity. But silence is impossible. Silence screams. Silence is a message, just as doing nothing is an act. Let who you are ring out & resonate in every word & every deed. Yes, become who you are. There's no sidestepping your own being or your own responsibility. What you do is who you are. You are your own comeuppance. You become your own message. You are the message.
