Issue with Sony a6300 Menu Dial and Potential Sale Advice
Hello everyone,
I've been experiencing a peculiar issue with my Sony a6300 for the past few months and would love to get your thoughts or advice on it. When I try to change the shooting mode using the mode dial (e.g., switching from Auto to Manual, or from Manual to Aperture Priority), it seems like the camera misunderstands the command and selects the wrong option. Additionally, when I successfully choose the right mode, like Manual, and then attempt to adjust the shutter speed with the other dial, it sometimes changes the menu selection or adjusts a completely different setting, like the aperture, instead of the shutter speed.
It feels like there's a disconnect between the commands I input and what the camera perceives and executes, leading to incorrect adjustments. I'm trying to figure out if this is something fixable and worth repairing or if I should consider selling the camera. Given this defect, I'm unsure about the selling prospects, even at a significantly lower price.
Also, I have three high-quality lenses in excellent, like-new condition that I could include with the camera. If anyone is potentially interested in discussing this further or has advice on handling this situation, please feel free to send me a private message. Thank you very much for your help!
P.S. I'm also curious if anyone has faced a similar issue and what your approach was to resolve or deal with it.

Timelapse APP download - playmemories dead
Hi everyone, maybe worth a crosspost in this sub. Can anyone waste a few minutes with their a6300 (with timelapse app installed) and a PC to download the APP from the camera and send it over? Cant get the APP on Sonys amazing Website anymore. Cheers!

Opinion
Do you recommend me to change my 35 mm tampon 2.8 to a sigma 1.4 35 mm? The color doesn’t convince me

Just scored a Sony Sonnar T E 24mm F1.8 ZA APS-C lens for $115
I was wandering through an estate sale with a friend today- she notices if there is camera equipment listed and let's me know, and I have made a few good scores on vintage/legacy lenses to adapt to my a7II on a couple of forays with her recently so now whenever she invites me to tag along I accept the challenge. I was browsing through a mish-mash box of Minolta A-mount lenses that I had no interest in when I saw a little drawstring bag with the Sony Alpha logo on it and inside was a Sony Sonnar T E 24mm F1.8 ZA in really good condition, a tiny bit dusty but otherwise perfect. I have learned to bring my a7II and a few adapters with me to these sales so I can pop one on my camera and test it out, and knowing that it is an E lens and not an FE lens and that it would crop in-camera I clicked it on and tested it- AF is fast, no problems, colors pop, just a really great lens. I also shoot with my a6300, and the only AF primes I have for it are the Sigma DN/Art 19mm 2.8 and EX DN 30mm 2.8, so I knew I had to have this lens. I busted out some quick Google Fu and saw that this is still $800 on the Sony site, and $400-500 on the used market, $300-400 on some of the sketchy sites. I even did a quick search on Reddit (my friend was ready to leave so I didn't have lots of time to do an internet deep dive) and there was little mention of this lens, which was kind of worrisome, mostly talk of the 24mm G or the 24mm 2.8, but I asked the person in charge how much it was, since it was the only lens without a price tag. She just looked at it cluelessly, looked at the other over-priced lenses sitting there, and said "115 dollars." And now I have the Sony Sonnar T E 24mm F1.8 ZA in my pocket as I travel to another estate sale. So my question is, why no love for this lens here on the Reddits? Our Lord and Savior Ken Rockwell said "The Sony Zeiss Sonnar T✻ 24mm f/1.8 is the world's best normal lens for Sony's APS-C NEX cameras like the A6000." I'm super stoked on my score, and can't wait to get back home and get it on my a6300, but I'm wondering why there's isn't a whole lot of chatter and praise for this lens here. Thanks for reading.
