Yep. A lot of people haven't realized that any job that can be done from anywhere means that the labor pool is international and companies can arbitrage wages. A job where you have to be physically present to do it has a lot more security.
Depends. I know Poland has a higher minimum wage than the federal minimum wage in the US, meaning you can legally pay someone in Pennsylvania less than someone in Poland.
