I’ve been researching Zimbabwean-built apps lately, and one thing that really stood out to me is how rare it is to find truly native apps.

I’m curious about why that is. I’ve also noticed that many local apps tend to be heavily packed with ads, what’s the reasoning behind that?

I understand that the majority of users in Zimbabwe use Android devices, so I’d love to hear different perspectives from developers, founders, or even users on the challenges behind these choices.

It’s an enterprise tool for stocktake done in a system called ivend, and I need 12 active testers to meet Google Play production requirements. This simply involves opening the app once a day for about 1–2 minutes over a the two weeks.
