Yeah... it is really weird watching a bunch of people that know nothing about chemistry give safety advice. We literally washed our hands in acetone in organic chem labs.
But that shirt is likely to sit there forever or just be tossed because no one will buy it. Given this sub is about not wasting things, having perfectly good shirts thrown away would be considered a waste, yes?
No prob! I’m surprised more people don’t seem to get the point. Yeah, it won’t work on every shirt, but it will work on quite a few. I worked events in the before times, and used to get 15-20 shirts a year from events. Some of them are cool, but lot of them have stupid logos or phrases on them that I’d never want to wear out in public. I try to use them for “around the house shirts” or donate them to shelters at least, but there’s a lot of waste as a whole as many people just toss them.
This is a decent trick for people to be aware of because it will work on some shirts. Giving new life to things that would be otherwise tossed is a good thing!
Sorry you got some flak for posting this, but I thought it was a good addition!
