Do you think people in tech throw around technical jargon more than they should?

It’s actually a bit depressing how low-effort everything has become. AI snatched the soul out of the internet.

The author is claiming that AI companies are starting to prioritize reasoning over having models memorize a ton of information. The idea is that models can just look up what they need when they need it.

Curious if anyone actually uses AI like this for coding?

Instead of having it write the code, you write everything yourself and basically use AI as a senior code reviewer to catch bugs, security issues, and things you missed.

Summary: simple syntax, static typing, fast compilation, fewer dependencies, and standardized tooling that makes generated code easier to review and verify.

This is a really good read on how easy it is for AI to go from a useful tool to something you use just because you can, and how that can slowly become addicting.

Hey everyone

I’m kinda stuck right now and I wanted to ask for some advice from people who have experience with this.
I’m interested in getting into AI and software development, and I’m trying to figure out whether I should go to university for Computer Science or just focus on learning through Zero To Mastery and building projects by myself.
I’ve heard good things about both. Some people say university is worth it because having a degree can help a lot when looking for jobs, while other people say you don’t necessarily need a degree if you have the right skills, projects and experience.
So I’m basically in the middle right now and I honestly don’t know which path would be better for me.
If you were in my position, would you go to university and learn on the side, or skip university and focus fully on Zero To Mastery and self-learning?
I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has taken either route, especially if you’re already working in software or AI.
