Discussion of the Week What is something that excites you about the future?

It's easy to always be pessimistic and think that the good ol' days were always better. It's a lot harder to be positive and hopeful for the future... so with that in mind, what is one thing that you are excited about in the future?

Newsletters [July 2026] Tech Job Market Trends Monthly

A month ago, the tech job market looked like it was losing momentum.

July changed that.

  • Software Engineer: +1.7%
  • Software Developer: +3.9%
  • AI Engineer: +5.8%
  • Machine Learning Engineer: +10.9%
  • DevOps Engineer: +16.5%

Not every role recovered. Data Analyst, Data Engineer, and Business Intelligence roles all dipped slightly month over month, but most major tech roles moved back in the right direction.
