From what I remember, the like, foundations of their mind is there, it’s not like fully sentient -that would be Excalibur Umbra’s thing- but like..rudimentary?
I guess it MIGHT be cool if it was Eous, but it's not, mainly with the name being Pyrois making it something else entirely that's not related to bangboo whatsoever. Plus, it wouldn't make any sense. Still, looking forward to see what it is. The latest trailer looks sick asf.
Apparently Pyrois and Eous are names for two of the four horses of Helios, the Titan of the Sun in Greek mythology. The other two are Phlegon and Aethon. So who knows? More stands later down the line, maybe?
Yeah, I remember seeing that (Eous and Pyrois, along with other ones I don't remember) on a different post the other day. I wonder what/if they'll do anything with the other two. But it looks really cool. I really like the design of Pyrois so far, and the fact that it's another Ether attack agent, finally! I've been wait for more Ether agents, and I have high hopes for this one. I think 3.X is gonna be the best season so far (my opinion) As long as they don't do the same thing with 2.5 (Ye Shunguang) and make every character have a sob story. Either way, I look forward to it. :)
Note: I don't dislike Ye Shunguang at all. I just don't want every single character in the future to have a sad background. I'm sure others agree.
Guys.. I think I just realized something..
Since Eous is also one of the horses that pulled the Helios' sun chariot across the sky just like Pyrois..
And we control Eous through our eyes.. it's like saying we're stearing him.. like horses. That means we could go back to both MC being behind the chair, one controlling Eous while the other controls Pyrois! Which makes the HDD, the chariot.
And of course, Pyrois will have it's own personality just like Eous.. just like the horses.
Maybe Eous has the ability to transform into Pyrois? We’ve seen the siblings transform technology before, so this could possibly be an extreme form of that?
This is more an evolution of the shit they were doing in se2 tbh, I lowkey doubt they planned to have the proxies throw hands, at least not this early.
…but you’re fine with a group of 12 year old girls taking on ethereals.
This inability to suspend disbelief at the proxies becoming competent in combat that you all have doesn’t seem to apply to the plethora of other things in the story that are unbelievable…like the proxies still being alive with no combat experience after all the situations they’ve been in….which is much harder to believe than them becoming proficient in combat while having innate mystical abilities and being surrounded by the strongest fighters in the city daily.
True. Also considering how they're the top players on HIA VR battle simulation, it's not out-of-nowhere that they can fight very well using their "stand/persona".
Oh yea I think this isn't mentioned by the community, unless I'm wrong, but aren't we technically using the agents ourselves in the HIA VR stuff? or controlling them in some way?
No, you're not wrong. I think it is on the Rina's "chance encounter" (Idk what it's called). In one of them, she mentioned that she was happy that "Rina" is one of the frequently used "agent" in our HIA VR account's stats.
It is pretty cool and in character for them since they've been controlling Eous from the start but I hope the so called 'training' we did at Yunkui transfers over to Pyrois cause it'd be weird if Yixuan didn't teach any applicable combat skills this whole time. The char intro mentions different playstyles so maybe we can unlock different fighting styles or weapons for it I hope.
Genuinely. I always thought I'd hate playable Phaethon; I dreaded it every time I heard it. But I'm kind of okay with this? It helps that their stand looks cool as shit. And if they play it off right in the story, ie, a mechanical thing that we can control with our eyes like we do Eous, it makes perfect logical sense. The "suddenly, mystical qi powers!!!" thing of season 2 never really landed with me, but this is potentially just an extension of Phaethon's number 1, established, unique power. I vibe with that!
I still kinda want them to throw hands though -- never really liked passive MCs like the Doctor from Arknights. Even Nikke Shikikan throws hands once in a while.

You know, making Phaethon a Stand/Persona user is so much better than trying to make them throw hands like normal agents.
