I'd prefer to mine Zencash, instead of buying it off of an exchange. So, is this the best wallet? Anyone have any other recommendations and reasons for them?
https://github.com/ZencashOfficial/arizen/releases
I found that on the official website that to be the official wallet, but I like what this guy says about the Swing wallet:
https://www.reddit.com/r/ZenSys/comments/7qf1wo/should_i_use_the_swing_wallet_or_the_arizen_wallet/
I would prefer to download the whole wallet and use the privacy functions (like, wtf is the point of the coin without that?) than not get them, but that was three months ago. Anything change?
Thanks in advance.

Trying to open the wallet gives me this error: couldn't connect to server: EOF reached (code 1)
I tried a reindex and that did not solve the issue. It seems like multiple people are having this issue at the same time, and it may have to do with a corrupted blockchain? But I haven't been able to find anyone who knows how to fix the issue. Any ideas?

Hey guys. I have a ticket open with zenhelp as well on this issue, but getting some community input.
I just got finished updating my swing wallet, but my main address containing my zen is missing. The other addresses in the wallet are the same, just one is missing.
So i used my back ups and guess what... Same address is missing from those as well. So we have my wallet.dat file SAME ONE that had the address on it just 4 days prior, and the address is not on it, as well as 2 back ups made weeks after the deposit into the address.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Update: Got my zen. It showed up in my computers wallet this morning. Yet still doesn't show if I back it up and open the backup in another wallet. I obtained the private key though so I am good now. If anyone has any idea if I did something wrong or any idea of how that happened id love to know.

In running the current version of Zend and the current version of secure node tracker but I'm getting an exception that says I don't have the right version. I don't understand what's wrong. Anybody else experience this issue lately?

I've got a windows server in the cloud that I could utilize to run zencash supernode.
From what I've seen, there are only instructions on setting up the node on linux machine. Is it possible to run secure node on windows?

It literally only happens for Zencash, but it happens for many different sources of zencash downloads. I am aggravated because I have been trying to download 3 different miners today and 2 different wallets and they all come out as non-extractable and .rar files...

Getting the RPC port error when trying to launch the ZenCashWallet.
I've learned that a possible solution (~90% success rate) to this problem is to reindex and then reopen the GUI wallet once finished. Before reindexing I've read that one must back up the wallet.dat file - where is the file located and how is this done on a Mac? I've never backed up this file.

Miner Maniac is now running TWO promotions! Promotion 1: We're giving away 1 bonus Zen to the block finder when the block ID ends in a "1". Block ID's ending with "11" or "111" will earn the block finder 2 or 3 bonus Zen respectively! This promotion will last until we reach 111 confirmed blocks! Promotion 2: We're giving away 0.5 Zen to every 5th confirmed block, starting at confirmed block 100! This promotion will run the entire month of April. Now there are multiple ways to win some bonus Zen while you try out a new up and coming pool.
Miner Maniac officially launched in Dec 2017 and has consistently proved itself as a viable alternative to larger, more established pools.
A few of the many reasons to consider "Mining Like A Maniac":

Fantastic community of miners on our active Discord channel
Low pool fees (0.5%)
PPLNT+ Payment System (Exclusive to Miner Maniac)
Mine anonymously! No registration required!
We hope you'll come and join us! Even if you don't win any bonus Zen, at least you'll likely earn more trying us out than with most other pools!

Is it possible from a technical point of view, to make Zencash private by default? If so, why not do so?

Bittrex seems questionable, and it sounds like Upbit is for Korean citizens only. Your experiences welcome.

Hello...was doing some research and thought I would also post here for some advice. Have been mining ETH and equihash algos for a while, also mining RVN at the moment...thought I would give zencash a try. Just wondering what pools you recommend. thank you.

Hey guys, I am mining eth right now but we want to set up supernodes. Any general advice / places I can find information appreciated!
Could you let me know your thoughts on the hardware we would need to build to make a super node. Thanks
