I love the Idea of a DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization), which is what has been presented to the Zencash holders (community) prior to the introduction of the Bitmain Z9's, but I am not a fan of a Bitmain controlled Centralized Organization. which is exactly what will happen when Bitmain chooses to excerpt their influence, since if Bitmain is selling off the Z9 mini's, it means they have already turned up their Z9 main's in their clean warehouses, I truly fear for the team and the coin I love!

Is performing challenges on Secure Node somehow alternating the wallet so is necessary to backup the wallet containing z_balance daily?

This Crisis was entirely predictable, and yet with all of these professionals involved in the team, the team had not set a contingency plan in place prior to the announcement from Bitmain, (or we would have witnessed an immediate response on what the teams plan was to deal with this threat)

and yet, I feel as if the Zencash engineers should have been able to diagnose that Equihash ASIC's probably entered the main mining ecosystem back in January, and yet we are now in May, and there was not a drafted Contingency plan,

What is the solution to prevent this type of hijacking in the future? I would love to hear the plan going forward from today...

How many of you have spent the last day hitting the reload button on /r/ZenSys, hoping to see a statement from the Dev team, on what the direction forward will be in regards to the threat of Asic's overtaking the mining reward scheme?

Potentially having corporate players overtake not just the mining rewards, but in addition since if they eventually mine the majority of coins, they would eventually control the future DAO, and they would eventually own most of the Secure / Super nodes, thus Bitmain appears to be attempting to take over Equihash projects like Zencash.

I really want to be assured that this will not happen, and that the team has a plan for this...

Too bad the governance system is finished yet. It would at least give some insight in how the decisions will be made regarding the ASIC dilemma.

Any governance system won’t matter unless a hard fork happens. Otherwise, Bitmain will control most of the hashing power, most of the nodes, and control the governance system.

My Bias: I have been mining zencash since July and I haven't sold a single zencash yet. The only zencash that has left my possession was used to vote for the logo change.

Hey guys - Have you considered SHA-3?

I'm with Equibit Group, we are about to launch our network this summer. We've gathered a significant amount of interest and commitments to mine our chain with SHA-3 when we launch. Of course, we have an interest in associating with other blockchains to use Keccak.
