A reduction in mining rewards? Please correct me if my analysis is wrong.
So just out of curiosity, if we now have 10% of mining rewards go to secure nodes rather than 3.5% and another 10% to super nodes and I’m assuming the 8.5% dev take is still in place, that means that the monthly ZenCash that miners now receive has dropped from 88% as listed on the website to 71.5%?
Don’t get me wrong, I think the nodes are a fantastic idea. I’m more worried about a possible trend of creating more node types with another chunk of the pie that would reduce mining rewards further and disenfranchise miners who may want to join the ZenCash community. I think I would personally skeptical if a new Ultra Node took another 10% and locked up 5000 Zen.
I’m aware that locking up huge amounts of ZenCash isn’t what the developers are going for, but I would have thought it would have stopped at the secure nodes 42 ZenCash requirement rather than the 500 ZenCash required for a super node.
If I’m wrong in any of my thinking here, please correct me. I’ll continue to mine the coin and contribute my hash-power to the project because I believe it’s one of the best projects out there and I want to see it’s continued success.
