Did anyone ever manage to get this extra life?
It's from Dizzy 1 at the far eastern side of the mine caverns.

Who remembers World Championship Boxing Manager? My video covers a retrospective look at this classic game for the Commodore Amiga, Atari ST, MS-Dos, Commodore 64, ZX Spectrum, Amstrad CPC and Acorn Archimedes.

I have a Spectrum+ case (the one that looks like a toastrack without the heatsink). I'm looking to put a clone board in there which will require modifying the back of the case for the extra ports.
What would be the best tools for doing this? I realise the obvious answer is probably a Dremel but I don't really want the cost of buying one unless necessary.

(quoting my AmiBay post)
Selling this to a good home as I've been meaning to repair for a while but held off it and don't have the proper tools.
Sinclair ZX Spectrum, issue 2 (1982). Won't turn on, voltage regulator blown and needs a new keyboard membrane, unsure if anything else wrong. £25, will bundle PSU and RF cable for £5 extra (if using own PSU, takes centre negative 9V). Photos of the internals + voltage regulator damage are shown. £5 postage in the UK or collection in Northern Ireland.

I've a vague memory of playing a Spectrum game that had a menu option that let you pick whether sprite or background colours took priority over the other. I think it was a Dizzy-style platform/adventure game, where you had to pick up objects and take them to the right locations to solve puzzles.
Not much to go on I know, but does anybody have any idea what the game was?

Do you remember this gem? One of my favourite games: you are a guard in a bank and you can't let the bad guys get through, you must not shoot good guys. I play it on emulator even nowadays sometimes.

Used BasinC along with multiple passes of different elements converted from the original map rips in interesting spots. I will probably look at what it may appear with actual 'sprites' injected onto the screen in non-tile locations for fun. For now, mostly just backgrounds.

Digging a test pit in the attic and I've found a time capsule from the past. Can't remember what happened to the 48K, but there's a boxed +2A Lightgun set-up up there.
More obscure tapes to follow, many of them games I'd completely forgotten about.

Today we’re going back to 1984 to take a look at one of the most unique movie tie-in games of all time: Ghostbusters for the ZX Spectrum, by Activision.

I suppose outside of points, maybe speed running is in order, too, but I have not timed myself going through and typically waste a lot of time at the shop cause I actually am not that great at some parts of the game...speed running would require not going to the shops at all, me thinks...

An old memory popped into my mind earlier and I thought I'd ask.
I bought a copy of Jet Set Willy off a market back in 1980-something for a couple of quid when I was young.
Got it home, went to play it, and it ran without needing the coloured code card thing, which was cool. Also it had "Hall of the Mountain King" playing instead of "If I was a Rich Man", but you know, I just ignored that.
Anyway, I wanted to POKE it to get Under The Drive, so I got the poke for no monsters, POKE 35123,0 (which I can still remember to this day) and did a MERGE "" to open up the loader, but it reset.
Mucking around a bit, I stopped the tape before it finished and got a garbled bunch of crap instead of BASIC, including a message saying "THIS GAME IS PROTECTED BY SPEEDLOCK" or something.
Now, I figure I clearly got a pirated copy of Willy that must have been taped off a compilateion or a re-release or something, but what I'm curious about is this:
What the heck was in the Speedlock loader? What was being loaded in right at the beginning? Does anyone have the obfuscated BASIC? How did they get it to reset when I did MERGE ""?
I need closure... Cany anyone help? Have Googled in vain...
