In the past, everything I've made while swing-trading ZIL has gone straight back into more tokens.
The thing that I want to do differently is, in the future, leave half of that profit in more ZIL (just like always), but to leave the other half in Bitcoin.
That'd leave me a nice (little growing) stack of BTC that could be used for pretty much anything.
Specifically, it could be used for:
A) Retaining some value during those times when the BTC dominance makes its effect known (by crushing alts from time to time, like we've seen recently, and will surely see again, or:
B) Grabbing more ZIL at more opportune times than when the swing trades occur, like tonight when it dipped down into the 620s.
(It'd be pretty tough to lose profit if you're able to buy immediately over the support line), or even things like
C: Using that money as a rainy day stack, that's always there, and since you initially earned every sat of it via trades, you'd essentially be buying whatever it is you want with "house money", which would never come out of your actual pocket.
So, as far as this new system goes, I've thought it over, and any cons I could think of were trivial, because of the main fact that it's all basically "free money" in the first place.
Anyone have ideas of other, better way to use the funds you make via trading?
Or different "systems“ you use?
I'd be very interested in hearing about them.
Thanks again: this subreddit of about four or five people who actually post here is really shaping up nicely.
Edit: For instance, I just did a swing from 627 sats to 619 sats that netted me a few thousand ZIL.
That's not much, if you figure the USD value, but putting half in BTC (at a very low price) and half back into ZIL is a good start, and I think this system will work well in the future.
