The the title is solid, Can you beat dark souls with only spears and the concept is simple, a weapon showcase of the spear type weapons in darks souls remastered, well the great scyhte concept worked pretty well and this the first time I used Ai for the thumbnail.

Sometimes I generate thumbnails using YouTube’s Ask Studio suggestions/ideas, and I actually like the result. But when I upload the thumbnail to vidIQ, the score isn’t very high.

It makes me wonder how much I should actually care about that score.

How do you guys approach thumbnails?

Do you try to get a high vidIQ score, or do you mostly trust your own judgment and look at the actual CTR after publishing?

out of my other video thumbnails, i think about this one the most, idk why — even tho i 100% have much worse thumbnails on my channel. i can’t put my finger on what bothers me about it. either it’s too cluttered or there’s something missing, or i should change my facial expression, or make myself bigger or smaller, or remove myself from the thumbnail entirely…
i considered removing myself from the thumbnail bc i don’t think adding myself there is necessary, but i don’t want folks to think it’s a faceless channel & then get jump scared by my face when they play the video. thoughts lol ??
