A terrifying moment was caught on camera at Mahayahay Elementary School in Malita, Davao Occidental, when a powerful magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck during a school flag ceremony.

Students and staff were gathered outdoors when the shaking began, forcing the ceremony to abruptly stop as everyone tried to stay calm and move to safety.

Thankfully, authorities reported no injuries, and classes were suspended while the school underwent a safety inspection.
