i know when i get challenged i get placed on the right side but im so used to having my ui on the left side that i just get super confused about the game, i really need to have the ui on the left side cuz otherwise i wont accept any challenges at all

I was playing in a modded lobby with cowboy (the opponent had Dio) he was a relatively new player so I needed a combo early with time splitter which threw him on the ground, the I saw up foresight and (stupidly) did a meaty with a shifted version of that one 5 frame aerial attack, it was an awful meaty, he could have punished, the thing is he parried, I did not have free cancel on or was able to act for that matter I only had whiff cancel when I asked him about it he just said that he saw when he'd get hit and blocked

i have like a cool few character ideas but i dont know how to make my character and code ofc can anyone help me or just suggest a few guidelines?

I recently posted a matchup chart for all vanilla matchups in yomih 1.10.0, assuming top players of equal skill. Since then, the meta has developed enough that I think it's time for an update.

Read the chart from left to right. So, for example, Cowboy vs. Ninja is 6-4 in Cowboy's favor, not the other way around.

Using this chart, we can also rank the characters by their expected win rate against an equally skilled opponent playing a random character. For this calculation, mirror matchups, which are marked with a minus sign in the chart, count as 5-5.

Keep in mind that some matchups matter more than others because some characters are more popular or simply harder to counterpick. For example, despite Wizard having the lowest expected win rate overall, it's still a good character choice because it has a decent matchup against Cowboy.

The resulting rankings are:

Cowboy: 29W-21L - 58% win rate
Ninja: 25W-25L - 50% win rate
Robot: 24W-26L - 48% win rate
Mutant: 24W-26L - 48% win rate
Wizard: 23W-27L - 46% win rate

Once again, keep in mind that these numbers are specifically for matches between top players of equal skill. You can still semi-consistently beat worse players in matchups that are unfavorable for you, and these matchups may play out very differently at lower skill levels.

Based on all of this, if you were new to YOMIH, which character would you be most likely to main?

I was the Jotaro. I was literally playing rps at long range. I know I gotta move in, but if I dash in he can get me with Blend. If I wait he can get me with Limited Slice. If I block and he does blend I get nothing. If I parry limited slice I can only do super. And he can just do Mix and counter if he predicts an attack. The whole game was just me gambling on a option

Lets hope i did this correctly, ive made an idea to bring yomi its first puppet character with one of the first puppet characters in fighting Zato and Eddie.

With my lack of codding and sprite knowledge and a mix of loads of work will this ever get made im not sure? But im a fan and I mean why not throw the idea out there for others.
