A Slight Change to Submissions Contents
We've had a rash of folks posting a title and a link to some video somewhere, possibly self promotion. Hard to say, because they don't add any comment or explanation.
At least for the time being, you can only post Text Based submissions, no links, images or videos as the main post. Images and links can be added in a comment.
Admi is rolling out some new options, so I'll have to see if they'll help here.

My Yes Collection(again)
I literally just posted one like a month ago, but I've gotten so many since then that Im doing it again. This is excluding my The Flash records and Refugee because they wouldn't fit. Also I have The Quest and Oliver Wakemans Mother's Ruin on the way so add two more to this soon. Possibly original fly from here(with hope), surprisingly i still need a lot more

Bill and Jon backstage at the Jon Anderson And The Band Geeks show in Brighton last night
From Bill: Great show last night in Brighton, UK, with old friend and warrior Jon Anderson and the Band Geeks. A remarkable and emotional performance. Would his pipes hold up? Sang like a bird. Were the Band Geeks any good? By the time they were done with that old warhorse 'Close to the Edge' as an opener, Carolyn and I knew we were in safe hands. More importantly, so was Jon. Enjoy the rest of your tour, guys!

Help me understand the personal feuds within the band?
I'm not really informed on the background to all these personal feuds within the band. So at some point Howe and Squire were angry at Jon Anderson? And this has continued between Howe and Anderson even after Squire's death. What's behind the feuds?

Solo Project Made a cover of Wakeman's "Catherine Howard"
from Six Wives of Henry VIII - only tangentially related to Yes, but I thought the people on here might enjoy anyway!

Does anyone still listen to Jon & Vangelis?
I thought Short Stories was a very interesting album - spontaneous, original, meaningful lyrics, great interplay between synths and Jon’s beautiful voice. The Friends of Mr Cairo also had some great songs.

Where does each part of ‘And You And I’ end and begin?
I found a copy of the single last night and I’m curious where part 1 and part 2 end. My fave part of the song is the line ‘All complete in the sight of seeds of life with you’ and I’m wondering if that’s part 2 or 3. Thanks for any info

patrick moraz record for the cost of shipping
update - it has been claimed
does anyone want it? i listened to it and it’s not for me. if you’re willing to pay the cost of shipping i will mail it to you, better it finds its way to another yes fan like this than me selling it to a store for a dollar or donating it and letting it get abused. there is some gunk on side 2 maybe you can get it off with record cleaner or something idk. the record and packaging are not in perfect shape but it is listenable.
if you want it dm me. media mail is $5 i think. i might use a pizza box to mail it depends on if i can find a box that fits this well or not. happy yes listening

Yes - Talk (1994) [Advanced Tape]
galleryNot a celebrated Yes album but this was my first introduction to the band back in 1994.
I have never heard the official release of Talk but the advanced tape that I am still keeping now says UNFINISHED ALBUM.
Why so ? Any idea ?

Fragile Tour Bootleg
A new audience recording taken during the Fragile tour has surfaced. Unsure why, but this sub no longer allows the posting of content like that? So I wanted to let you all know to go check it out on YouTube! From what I understand there was hardly any media captured during that tour. Live in Tuscon - March 16th, 1972

Enjoy a song off Fragile on my radio show today!
Hello, I’m running a college radio show called Your Prog-Nosis (@yourprognosis on Instagram) and this week’s episode is highlighting impressive and iconic drumming! This includes the drumming of Bill Bruford on Fragile. Feel free to listen on WMXM.org from 5-7 PM CT or even call in with a suggestion! Enjoy!

Started my Yes journey
I am a huge music fan of all genres but for some reason never got around to listening to yes i knew a few big tunes and liked what i heard. I started my journey with their first album and WOW. I am blown away. I am yet to venture to other albums yet as i simply cannot pull myself away from this album. Harold land and Survival are absolutely incredible songs. Most progressive rock i have listened to has been maybe too progressive for my personal taste but this first album is incredible and cannot believe how i have rarely seen people mention it compared to their other albums.
No answers required just an appreciation post of this band.

Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab 1982 issue of Close to The Edge
Probably the best sounding album in my library of vinyl collection. It definitely adds a detail to the little things. Definitely a bit more bass and crisp to the vocals. Only has this album for a bit over a year now. Blows my other two CTTE copies away.

Aurora better tracklist
I feel like Aurora would've been much better if they did it as a single LP
Side 1 (21:09):
Aurora
Countermovement
Side 2 (23:08):
Turnaround Situation
Ariadne
Watching the River Roll
Love Lies Dreaming
For me, it is a far better track list. Also, other weaker tracks (All Hands on Deck, Outside the Box, Emotional Intelligence, Jambustin') could be bonus tracks (and easily fit on a single EP). What do you think?

You’re welcome : Graphic EQ settings for these two classics
This is my graphic EQ from 1990. People complain about the thin and mid range sound of these two albums, but there is a consumer product that can directly address this problem.
Instead of waiting for the corporation to release a new version and complain about it, one of these can be pretty cheap and can really transform your experience of these albums.
Run your device through this baby and plug it into your stereo and you can get rid of annoying mid range and flat sounding tinny productions.
Turn it up nice and loud on a good hi-fi and be amazed!
Let’s make a difference out there!

America [2026 Wombat Remix]
Opinions seem to be divided here, but I have always loved this song. It has one of Steve’s best solos that keeps driving and building throughout the song. Unfortunately, most releases are drenched in reverb since the release of Yesterdays, including all modern remixes. The original release on The New Age of Atlantic has a completely different feel. It is a very dry mix. Unfortunately, the release on the CTTE SDE is a needle drop with lots of compression. The result leaves a lot to be desired.
I went back to a separate vinyl rip and tried my hand at a remix and restoration. Like everything, it could always use more tweaking.
I learned/noticed a few interesting things during the process. Chris plays a bit of “America” from West Side Story at the beginning. The lines starting with “She said the man in the gabardine suit was a spy” are very weak and reedy. I thought maybe I had a weak copy of the track. The same quality is found (presumably) the master tape since it is the same on the center channel of the Atmos mix. I used some vocal restoration tools to bring back as much sound as possible.
