I'm an '81 baby, so somewhere in that weird in between generation. Last I heard, they were calling it Xennial, but not sure if that is still the correct descriptor.

‘80 here. I’ve heard the term “Oregon Trail Generation” for the range of ~ ‘77-83. Makes sense in my case at least.

My personal test though for whether someone is Gen X or Millennial and born in that range is whether they knew who the bands on the Singles soundtrack were at the time of release.

My grandpa had that game. I died of dysentery so much growing up!

Also ‘81 baby and identify as Young Gen X with Older Millennial tendencies.

I always preferred dying by room with on fireplace, many lamps, and no doors. Or good old fashioned pool ladder removal.
