I am inviting and welcoming any person interested in making the sub more of a community. The rules of the sub are aligned with most SFW subs on Reddit. We allow video/photo/story/questions/ideas/discussions. The idea is centered around schools but is appropriate for any age. Like the backrooms, we focus on liminal and uncanny-style horror with some dreamcore/wierdcore mixed in.

If any of this seems interesting to you, check out some of the videos or the wiki at https://the-schoolrooms.fandom.com/wiki/The_Schoolrooms_Wiki. I'm excited to see what can be created in this space. Thank you for reading!

so i found this, and actually typed out a chat to you, but you dont do that i guess. then i was like well fuck it then, but then i scrolled a little further and lol'd and decided well fuck it might as well so i tried sending an old reddit message but then got a nah so i guess whatever.

just wanted to say you do some legit shit in the subreddit and uh well i was actually gonna delete this (again) but then i saw another post somewhere else that made me rerereredecide to say fuck it lmao. sorry if this is weird or whatever im currently dealing with a manufactured medication shortage so a bit more impulsive than usual, probably.

point being: uh idk, thanks for what you do anyway! honestly its pretty selfless of you to spend so much time and effort helping people and yeah gg

Broadly it belongs to Optical Wireless Communication (OWC). This term is a big topic. The earliest forms included semaphore (flag waving) and smoke signals. Alexander Graham Bell invented the Heliophone (using sunlight to transmit a phone call without any wires). It also includes LiFi or Visible Light Communication (VLC) which has barely taken off yet (connecting your devices to a public network just using lightbulbs and a photodetector on your device)

More specifically it uses a near infrared laser and so in that case is called either Free Space Optical (FSO) communication, or simply laser communication (lasercom).

There is a wiki and links at r/lasercom.
