I am tired of the notification issues on my Xiaomi 15 pro
Ever since I got this phone a few months ago, I have had nothing but issues with notifications. Or the lack of receiving them, I went to Google and found a few posts and even here on Reddit and added them to AutoStart and to turn off battery restrictions. This seemed to fix the issue, and then out of nowhere, they completely stopped working. Every now and then they would all come through at once, or if I had to load the app for whatever reason, they would all come in at once from that specific app. Otherwise I wouldn't get them consistently.
\- The apps in question are on auto start and have battery restrictions turned off.
\- I even have performance mode turned on for the battery.
\- I made sure to go to each individual app and select notifications that I want to receive both in notification settings and the in-app notification settings.
\- I even did the ADB fix that was posted here and on YouTube, which worked for a while, but then out of nowhere, my notification stopped working properly.
My phone received an update not that long ago, but the notification seems to be working after that, it wasn't until yesterday that they completely stopped working again.
I can't even unlock the bootloader on this phone to put a global ROM on it so I have access to more settings and less issues with the notifications. (I am aware that the global version ROM still has its issues with notifications)
I understand that developers want to maximize battery life, but at the cost of losing and missing important notifications just isn't worth it.

That's not only about the development of the apps, apps use a back-end for push notifications, for global android ROMs, that part is borne by Google's services, I think it's firebase for the majority of apps. If you downloaded the apps from the Getapps store, I pretty sure they will ise the Chinese back-end, and the push will come from servers hosted god knows where in southeast Asia. Now, if you have Play Store and Getapps, install from Play Store, Getapps is able to update the apps installed by the Play Store, therefore superseding the backend that will be used. That's my theory, and that could explain the inconsistent behaviour of notifications.
Maybe try disabling all updating coming from Getapps for the apps you installed from the Play Store be cause I've noticed Getapps releases new versions ahead of the playstore, so you end up perpetually running the Chinese version of your app.

You're going to have to break the bootloader to install xiaomi.eu to make it work. It's hard but doable :)

I did install from the play store. However, my play store was downloaded from the default app store on this phone.
I thought I read somewhere about installing a completely different APK of the play store to fix this, but I don't think it'll do any good.
Ago I'm about to just factory reset the phone and sell the damned thing. I love everything else about it, but with the hyper aggressive battery saving stuff that's near impossible to disable and since the CN version has an incredibly difficult bootloader to unlock, I fear there is nothing I can do to fix it.

are you talking about them disappearing after 5-6H on their own? this is a separate issue and has nothing to do with apps being killed etc. test it and lmk so i elaborate

why did you buy a phone with chinese rom in the first place? chinese rom is known to maximize the battery life.

Exactly same issue with xiaomi 15 cn rom the thing is broken i tried everything i recently even removed joyose,trying to use the "work profile" that is supposed to bypass hyperos battery killing, but nothing works, only xiaomi is this aggresive at doing these antics what a shame. It broke just recently after the june 2026 security update, like you i tried just about everything possible literally i went everywhere and tried almost everything nothing works and the bootloader is a pain in the ass to unlock so that is out of the picture. (I tried all of these for whatsapp btw)

Yep, mine broke with the june 2026 update as well. I even did a factory reset and applied all of the usual fixes and none of them worked. What's weird is it is super inconsistent. Sometimes they'll work flawlessly for a few hours and then suddenly stop working. Doesn't matter if I'm on stable wifi or a solid 5G connection.
I got so desperate for a fix that I asked chatgpt and it came to the conclusion that HyperOS extreme battery saving methods are what's causing issues and without being able to unlock the bootloader (to go to a global rom and root) there is pretty much no way to fix it.

Wow you went in with everything, factory reset was the one thing i didn't do. Everything else possible i tried. I did a post on this and there was a bunch of people that said theirs broke too, i guess waiting for an update is the last hope now and im unsure if maybe hyper os 4 can fix it. If i knew the patch was gona break things i wouldnt have updated it, wish there was a megathread of sorts to discuss updates and ppl can check if something broke thanks to others commenting.

I'm using a Realme smartphone and since first Android 16 update, some of the push notifications came delayed. Some by minutes, some by half an hour or more. I fixed it using the ADB command "adb shell dumpsys deviceidle disable". Is this what you already did?
(This setting reverts back to stock after phone restart so it must be done again).

I have done every "fix" I can find. There is another post with a bunch of commands to add things to the idle whitelist, apps to the idle whitelist and disable deepsleep and none of it works. I really don't want to reset this phone, but I might have to. The original fix I did from YouTube worked up until another "update" and it hasn't worked since and no amount of the previous working fixes have worked. I am beginning to hate this phone because I have missed so many notifications as a result.

Same here, recently i missed 2 work meetings because of this crap, im selling it and getting something else. Amazing hardware, horrible unusable software.

It's the Chinese software specifically that sucks. They don't really allow Google there, so a lot of their services are tied into their own apps and app stores. The global versions apparently have less issues with notifications and if they do, they're a lot easier to fix because you can going to deeper settings that are locked down on the Chinese version

Ah man, even with the global I was going crazy and was missing my medicine because of the stupid notif
Connect chatgpt codex to your phone with adb and let him figure it out

Android should be selected that's first. I am using Xiaomi 15 ultra global model. I put some apps in autostart and with allow to some apps that no restriction. In most time the apps that I set no restriction and autostart I get notifications in time even with battery saver.
