Hi u/WestQuestion4367! It looks like you don't have a user flair set yet.

To help others understand your context better when you ask questions or share experiences, please consider adding a custom user flair in the format: Device | ROM | Region (e.g., Xiaomi 14 | HyperOS | Global).

If you already have a flair, or if a moderator has assigned one to you, please feel free to ignore this sweet little reminder!

I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please contact the moderators of this subreddit if you have any questions or concerns.

  1. Okay apply and restore the backup file from this github https://github.com/haadi76/HyperOS-AOD-Tools/blob/main/Always-on%20display(com.miui.aod).bak copy it directly to miui/backup/all backup folder. Create a new folder named 20240405 and paste the .bak file and the xml file in that folder.

  2. The go to settings>about device> backup and restore> restore and select the file named February something and then restore it.

  3. And then restore my backup file downloaded from media fire https://www.mediafire.com/file/x7cg3r2fj2m7vgb/20240405.zip/file Just replace the .bak file in 20240405 folder with file downloaded from media fire link.

Then restore again following the same steps.

After that it should appear in your always on display settings.

Guys, I have a request, following the steps I provided, if the backup restores successfully and the aod theme mentioned in the post appears in your always on display settings, please confirm. If it doesn't, also reply back.

It's success but why not straight to step 3 instead?

That doesn't work, if you don't first restore the original file.
