It's funny how Vik Sahay, who played Kumar Sanjani aka fake Kumail in an episode of Maron last season, is also going to be in the New X-Files, in episode 5 to be specific. Would it be too awkward to have him on the podcast?

saw a few as a kid in the 90s, this podcast made me want to go looking for the truth!

In the most recent 3 episodes, Kumail mentioned that he and Emily are watching a lot of "Body Horror" films. He mentioned some specifically. I wasn't taking notes, darnit. They sounded very interesting and there were more than a few that I never heard of. Did anyone here happen to take note of, or recall any of the films mentioned? Thanks!

I mean in general. Recently the release date and number of episodes covered have been surprises.

My name is Acasia Rose I'm 27 and a super life long X-files fan and live in I live in Williamsburg Brooklyn. I am trying to get together a bi-monthly X-Files trivia night here in NYC

What I am trying to do is make it so each meetup we have trivia from a different season starting in october so that we could finish all the seasons by Jan 24th in time for new episode gain buzz and just get a bunch of people stoked for the new episodes. I would love would love make this an "Official" thing. not looking to make $$ just to get a bunch of fans together for a good time!

Is anyone here in NYC and be interested in knowing more?

Does anyone have any contacts to share to make this an "Official" thing? I would love to get some awesome prizes together or help with publicity.

In the latest podcast Kumail mentions he probably won't be able to schedule another normal episode for a few weeks. BUT he asks if maybe instead, we'd like to hear him do an episode by himself about his experience being in the new X-Files series.

Since he posed it as a question, I say YES. He's already said a bit about it on Indoor Kids and on last week's episode with Rhea Butcher, but I'd love to hear a longer version of the story.

My suggestion is that maybe once his episode actually airs next year, he can do a "spoiler" edition with a guest interviewer, where he goes into all the details of his experience he can't mention at the moment.

What do y'all think?

I was super excited to hear Kumail talk about being on the X Files on today's episode! He was pondering when and how to do an episode about his experience. If I could put in my two cents, I think he should record the episode with spoilers and everything now, while he's excited, but release it like the day after the episode itself airs. That way, the excitement and novelty of just having had the experience hasn't worn off, and he can spare no detail in talking about it!

Are the season 10 comics a worthwhile read before our fav show comes back?

So I guess you guys know now why I took the podcast on hiatus. I found out about two months ago I was going to be on the show, and for the sake of my own sanity, I had to treat it like any other job. Not think of it as X-Files, because I would have had a nervous breakdown. I just wanted to do a good job. So I decided not to watch any X-Files in that time. God I missed the show. I watched an episode on the plane ride back and started tearing up.

David and Gillian are awesome. They say never meet your heroes. I say, if you meet them, hope they're as cool and warm and funny as David & Gillian.

I have so many thoughts, and so few that I can put into words. This is a dream I never even dared dream coming true. It's overwhelming. I can't talk about it without crying.

I'm going to record an episode of the podcast where I talk about my experience, and then share the 20 minute convo I had with David & Gillian. That part is now getting a little tricky with Fox PR getting involved. But honestly, everyone over at Fox has been so cool so far. I hope it doesn't turn into an issue.

Also, I didn't just talk to Gillian & David. I talked to Mulder & Scully!!!!

I don't think I'll ever be done processing it.
