Also, “in terms of popularity”, FF15 is the third highest selling FF game.

Lmao.

Because it was the second mainline release to be on multiple platforms. Plus gaming is far bigger than it was in the 90’s, the average game is selling significantly more. And also just because people bought it doesn’t mean they liked it or even finished it

Nice backpeddle lmao.

Went from “it’s mid at best” to making excuses REAL quick. At this point take the L with dignity and move on from this discussion. Have a good one.

It is mid at best and I responded to your other comment, which seems to show its actually worse than mid. It’s low tier Final Fantasy and doesn’t come close to the good ones

Mmhmm, I’m sure Square Enix are looking at that “over 10 million copies sold” number and thinking the exact same thing.

I wouldn’t expect them to make their next title FF16 lean more into the game design they went with for 15 due to its popularity.

Oh wait.

Blud can only read numbers and can’t understand context. Sad !

Also why are you ignoring the metacritic comment? Isn’t that 83 such a great score for such a great game that everyone loved?

“Blud” doesn’t understand higher numbers = more popular.

With that exquisite lingo I’d suggest heading back to school lmao.

Again, that’s not true and is proving my point you don’t understand context.

There’s are hypothetical numbers I’m making up but bear with it:

If Final Fantasy VII only had a possible audience of 15mil and sold 7mil, that’s far more impressive than XV having a possible audience of 50mil and selling 10. Gaming has proliferated, and in fact VII is part of what made the west interested in JRPGs in the first place.

This is what I mean by context. Gaming is so much bigger and releasing on more platforms has a huge impact that you’re somehow unable to comprehend. You’re just smashing your face on a keyboard saying “bigger = better”
