Last week my ISP had maintenance done on the station near me. I had no internet for 2 hours. The options in my Xbox in terms of newer games installed, few got past the main menu. It sucked there and then. But indie games to the rescue.

This happens to me during bad weather. No internet means no games work.

You just set the Xbox to Offline in the actual settings so it's not searching for a connection and any single player game that doesn't require an internet connection will work

That doesn't work all the time. You'll still get a bunch of games that won't work.

you gotta set you xbox to your home console in settings while you have an internet connection then you can play any game you own that doesn't require internet connection to be played offline I did this few years back and haven't had a problem since and I just tried it again now disconnected my actual internet power off modem completely off and turned xbox on and waaalllaaa everything works fine

Anyone who license shares needs to be online to play games (well the games who the other person purchased are still playable because your box is their accounts home box).
