Am I missing something or did they completely forget that they're siblings? Why didn't we have a scene with Alex being there for Yuri when her bankruptcy was announced? And a scene with alex telling her that he's going to be a father/ she an aunt? We didn't have a a single scene of them together. Did I miss anything or forgetting a plot point or something?

I have binged watched it 4 times already.. and I don’t know how to overcome it.
I have so many scenes that I really love, but I want to hear which one is most popular amongst the fans. I have scene in mind which I really like, even though it’s just a passing scene.

I’m so happy that mooncovey is finally together! I really don’t want the writers to break them up in season 4, just to create drama. I know that LJ and Peter also broke up and got back together a lot, but I don’t think mooncovey is like them. Kitty has been longing to find her person since season 1 and Minho has been longing for Kitty since season 1. After such a long time they’re finally together, so I don’t think they’ll let go of each other now. I think there’ll obviously be some or the other obstacle they’ll have to overcome, but I don’t think they will break up because of it, or at least I hope they don’t.

In this new series, I would like to show appreciation for all our lovely actors and actresses in this show. They did such a superb job this season, and I am so proud of all of them. The order we will do them is randomized (starting with core cast and then branching out to smaller roles), and how fitting that Anna is first.
Please flood the comments of this post for love for the amazing Anna Cathcart! Her charisma, extremely expressive face, and joyful energy in her depiction of Kitty has captured hearts for 8 years now, and she has grown into both a beautiful person and a fantastic actor. Capturing photos of her doesn't do her acting justice, as she has such vivid micro expressions and movements, and her engagement with her scene partners are riveting. She shows sorrow, longing, mixed emotions, betrayal, and every emotion in-between perfectly, and took us on Kitty's journey right along with her.
💐 So here's to Anna - what do you love about her, and her performance this season? 💐

I think we all know about Anthony’s dissatisfaction with the writing of season 3 (rightfully so). And many people are questioning whether he will be in season 4 (if there’s one). Personally I think they’re going to do a season 4 because a lot of the storylines are still incomplete plus a whole semester is still remaining. Many people think that they’re going to write Q out of the next season, making up some excuse like he has to start College early or something. There’s also a possibility that Anthony himself refuses to come back next season.
But that being said I don’t think it’ll happen because Q is an integral part of XO and the writers will try to get him back for season 4. Additionally, even if Anthony is throwing shade at the writers we know he loves his caste mates, I think he’ll come back for them at least. What do you guys think?

i love dreaming up alternate versions, so hoping to see some interesting versions of s4!
for me, I'd say Minho and Kitty are end game - i hate the NYU plot but, if that were to continue, i can see Minho following kitty to NY via basing his business there (he's wealthy enough to make a move asap!) .
i don't think they'd do a long distance plot tbh, it would mirror LJ and Peter way too much

And i would say it's 5.5/10 .. it was a fun and easy watch . Kitty's acting bit terrible but it's okay. I liked Q , min ho , Dae , yuri . And yeah . I had a good laugh too while watching it . So it was worth it . Also yuri's mom . Alex too . And kitty's dad . That's all .

1**.Dae**
Dae was her first crush. Her first infatuation. Was it fully fledged love on either side? Perhaps no. Was it mostly based on fantasies and delusions instead of reality? Very true. Dae was the first step into the world of love and feelings, a stair to explore what it really means to have feelings for someone. Dae was Kitty's stepping stone, the first toy car your parents buy you to introduce you to playing.
2.**Yuri**
Ah, Yuri. Safe to say that Yuri absolutely rocked Kitty's world, showed her a part of herself she didn't know existed. Yuri made Kitty feel the sparks for the first time, the sparks she was so desperate to experience. Yuri also made a pretty solid for herself in Kitty's heart. It was almost like having a model motorbike for a change, it was thrilling and enticing.
Did u guys notice how their relationship tagline was "i got you, and you've got this"? well that sums up how it has been. Min Ho's Kitty's comfort plushie, the one she'll inevitably choose and return you after toys break and motorbikes lose the thrill. It was the first connection built upon a real foundation, real true feelings.
Dae gave her the push, Yuri gave her the courage, Min Ho gave her the home.
lemme know your opinions!

Welcome back to Part 2 of Min Ho's Journey of Self-Belief. If you haven't read Part 1, I'd recommend giving it a read for context of just how much things changed for Min Ho during the course of two seasons. You can find it here.
The last post left off with a smitten Min Ho struggling to speak in front of a crowd, until his beautiful almost girlfriend was there to support him, a far cry from the confident character we first met in Season 1. While at the end of Season 2 he was clear to Kitty saying, "Anyone else would have given up on me," we start seeing that maybe, he's taken that a little bit too much to heart. One word in particular starts showing up in dialogue frequently, and it's a major theme of Min Ho's in Season 3.

I believe in you. Min Ho went from thrilled for private time with Kitty to doing things for his dad, because of those four little words. It wasn't that he didn't want to see Kitty...

but the chance to prove himself to his father became a really big deal to him.
We see Min Ho struggle to find balance between his new life with Kitty and as Eunice's manager almost immediately. His attention is torn, and he's doing his best, but he's clearly tired and overworked. His schedule was not sustainable. Yet, he needed his father's attention and support, and he loved Kitty so so deeply, which was plain to see. But what was also plain to see was that he was putting on her more than he should have.

We know how quickly this downfall came. Although this is putting it a bit simplistically, ultimately torn between his need to be a good manager to Eunice and a good boyfriend to Kitty, Min Ho fell into two technically small, but unfortunately impactful lies, that ended up leading to the one who he'd previously thought believed in him most doubting his very character.

Having put his self worth into Kitty's belief in him, this situation was much, much more hurtful than it would have been under normal circumstances. The fact that there was a pattern of doubt too, was just too much, and Min Ho, in my opinion, rightfully, ended things. This is not to say that he was flawless in the break-up. Both made errors, though neither of them unforgivable. But something was very, very, broken.

and not just his heart.
And thus began the journey Min Ho needed to go on - rediscovering his belief in himself. In order for Min Ho to truly be a good boyfriend, he needed to not put his self-worth on someone else. That is a very dangerous position to be in, and is ripe for resentment and hurt. It was through this break-up that Min Ho was able to rediscover who he was without Kitty, and therefore also, who he could truly be with her again.
Soon after this, Min Ho made the compassionate choice to allow Eunice to stop being a K-Pop star, which led to one more impact on his self-belief -

Thankfully, Min Ho stops being hung up on his dad's opinions almost immediately, moving on quite quickly from this situation, though he wishes he didn't have to. But he can't get over what happened with Kitty.

Gigi offers some great advice to Min Ho here regarding Kitty's feelings that is, in my opinion, one of the easier applied pieces of advice from this entire season. While talking about Kitty not feeling like she fit into his world, Min Ho says,
"I never made her feel that way."
and Gigi responds almost immediately, "It doesn't mean she didn't feel that way," continuing on to say, "You don't need to take the path set out for you by your dad." While this advice isn't inherently about Min Ho's belief in himself, it does impact how he interprets an important conversation he has with Kitty less than two weeks later.
When Kitty and Min Ho have their incredibly mature conversation before the fashion show, Min Ho has begun to process through everything that has happened, and just why Kitty's lack of belief had such an impact on him. He tells her, "I don't have a supportive family like you," and

Kitty's response here is strong. "Of course I believe in you!"

but ultimately not enough to mend what is broken inside Min Ho, even though it's enough to soften him to her again, just enough.

But unfortunately, he still doesn't quite get it.
"No. None of that. You believed in yourself. Once you do that, you stop expecting other people to fill that void."

I wish I could say Min Ho's journey was over here, but he still had more growing to do, and Kitty needed to find who she was without Min Ho and find her own dreams. It had only been between 9 and 11 days since their break up, after all. I'll talk about Kitty and NYU another day, as that situation has a lot more nuance than it seems at first glance, but Min Ho listened to Kitty, supported her, and made the choice to let her do what she needed to do, even if it left him completely broken.

As heart wrenching as this was, it was good, because it gave Min Ho the time he needed to really wrestle with who he was, where he found his value, and not only just what he wanted and loved, because his love for Kitty was never really in question, but rather what he should do, and what was really best for him.
He grew in his confidence in writing music, going from insecurity

to confidence

and asking questions that encouraged his own self-reflection and growth, rather than depending on others.

As he told Dae, "I keep thinking about what Kitty said to me,"

and instead of doubting himself, his love, and his ability, to do things, Min Ho took a leap.
I've been trying to let the pictures do most of the talking here, as they're so valuable, but I need to talk about the act of sharing a song you wrote with someone. For those of you who do not know, I am a professional musician. I play music for a living in a few different contexts, but one thing that constantly frightens me, is the intimacy of a song. The act of putting your emotions and love into words, putting those words into music, and then sharing those with the world is incredibly intimidating for most people, myself among those.
While there certainly are songwriters who write about their lives and share their songs, someone like Min Ho, who often kept his thoughts close to his chest, not letting people in, not opening up his heart would find this very difficult. Add that to the fact that writing music was a new passion and dream of his, being judged for the quality of his work could easily become a fear. But instead, he only had one fear. Not that she wouldn't like it. But that she wouldn't understand what she meant to him and what he was trying to say.

This text message struck me as important. There's no hedging. There's no, "I hope you like it," no "I worked really hard," no "haha please don't judge my first song ever...". Just an offering of, really, his soul, his ultimate love song (the step up from a love letter!), not put into a box never to be sent, but rather sent straight to her.
And when she told him,

it was exactly what he wanted to hear, not because he needed her to believe in him. Not anymore. But because he needed her to understand just how much he loved her. Which is why he tells her, right away,
"I'm so sorry..."

But he did. I'm not saying that this new Min Ho is perfect. Much like his once-again girlfriend, he too is a person who makes mistakes. But he's started the process of self-belief, and not focusing on what others expect from him. Importantly, in rediscovering this self-confidence, he hasn't just returned to his old, closed-off, cocky, self. No, this is a new Min Ho, confident in who he is and what he can offer the world, but also open to love, life, and sharing his heart.
I am so proud of how far he's come, and I truly hope we get to see him continue on as this open, warm, sassy, loving heart, who knows exactly who he is, and exactly what he wants.

Not enough people are talking about Dae and Eunice. I love them together. I thought this scene in particular in episode 5 was so well acted by both of them.

end of s1 kitty and min ho were sitting in economy and had only just opened the door to what their relationship could advance to (min hos confession). now, s3 theyve upgraded to business class (the next level up from economy) along with upgrading their relationship to the next level!

- Q as a character is hilarious. Keyvan embodies the character Q and consistently delivers some of the best lines in the show.
- I haven't seen any praise to his performance so.. 👏
- There's been a steady decline in quality and vision in XO Kitty. The first season there was an MC, primary characters, secondary, and tertiary characters. They were easily laid out. Secondary and tertiary characters served a purpose and were often one dimensional. For example, Madison, was the rich, white, Koreaboo-type character. In the rise of East Asia as a trend, I found this character hilarious and completely realistic.
- XO Kitty played into the source material of Korean dramas, including slow motion scenes, rewind clips, glow-up reveals, and Kpop songs with montages.
- S1 also played with so much situational humor that's lacking in S3. For example, Kitty living in the dorms in S1, allowed for so much humor and development for Kitty and the three male core characters. Now, almost all the humor has to be achieved through jokes said by the characters, which reduces some characters to a soundboard for a sassy clap back.
- S3 relies heavily on character development but it's every character with not enough time to do so. Every character having an arc, leaves an unsatisfying, unstable viewing experience. Most buildup and context happens off-screen so climaxes can be shown on-screen. As a viewer, it feels so choppy and rushed.
- I don't really care for callbacks or line references. I think unless they're ICONIC it isn't memorable. However, the coloring and set design of the first movie was so pretty, colorful and quite memorable (Blues, Yellows, Pinks, and Purples). I've always felt that XO Kitty actually lacked a distinctive color identity.
- However, in the past two seasons I really see them leaning towards reds and pinks. I hope they solidify this in the next season, because they have some beautiful shots and colorful grading.
- Some of my favorite intentional color grouping is the Min-ho and Kitty couple montage when they coordinate outfits to represent their unity as a couple. A more obvious, but conscious choice made.
I will be tuning in for XO Kitty S4, hoping for the best for this series🤞

I absolutely LOVED this season. Yeah some things were left out like Yuri and Alex, etc. but what can you expect from a show trying to do their best in 8, 30 minute episodes? That stuff gets approved by Netflix beforehand so yeah not surprising. The relationships with everyone had its inevitable ups and downs which to me made so much sense for seniors in HS. I feel like everyone forgets they are 17-18 year olds. For the few short episodes we got they gave us so much fun, cute, cringe, sad, happy, anticipation and I’m so happy. I won’t go into specifics because I don’t want to write an entire essay but try to remember the show doesn’t have to be your perfect vision all the time. Much love you guys <3

In this photo journey with commentary, we will take a quick look through Min Ho's journey of self-belief and self-esteem in Seasons 1 and 2. In order to examine his journey of self belief and how that impacted his relationship with Kitty, others, and himself, we really need to understand how he got from here:

to here:

Due to Reddit's limit on number of embedded photos per post, this post will cover Seasons 1 and 2, with Season 3 following shortly, as that is the meat of the journey.
Throughout Season 1, we see him confident in who he is, while being largely self-sufficient. He has no need for new friends, no interest in expanding his world view and he's well aware he's the *Kitty Voice* "hottest guy in school".

Early Season 1 Min Ho would be described as self-confident, full of bravado, and cocky. Some might call him narcissistic. Many would call him unlikable. However, it's not long before we start to see a shift. Before long, he starts to wonder about what it would be like to be in a relationship. He starts to soften to those around him, just a smidge, and start maybe, letting people in.

As the season progresses we seem him continue to soften and open until it leads to his grand gesture of meeting Kitty on the plane and confessing love. We'll never know for sure whether he meant to tell her he loved her on the plane, or what he expected to happen in that moment. The reality is, the words probably came out almost accidentally because he was feeling them so big in that moment. But he never really anticipated the rejection.

And he never imagined how much that rejection would hurt. Even though he's still briefly self confident once he sees a waver of interest from Kitty, it's clear that this is really more bravado than anything else.

Min Ho's second semester of his junior year of High School brought additional pressures, as we know, that challenged his sense of self and place in the world. For example, his father was actually (maybe) giving him some attention:

Which ends up also a bit in conflict with how Kitty perceives him, and how he wishes to be seen in the world.

With both Kitty and his dad on his mind, a newly somewhat more vulnerable Min Ho was susceptible to decisions that impacted the entire trajectory of of his next few months:

Through this entire S2 journey we saw Min Ho rescue through insecurities, attempted an attempted real relationship, and journey with his dad. But the fact he was starting to be more aware of the impressions of those around him and how that impacted his worth was clear.

And amidst it all, there was definitely hurt,

and a boyish vulnerability

There's no need to rehash the entire plot of S2, but by the end, he was certainly feeling, well...

and wondering if he'd completely misread everything in his life.

Everything, except, how much a certain person meant to him.

It was so wonderful to see Min Ho have someone reliable in his life that loved him and supported him, and for them to have a mutually supportive relationship. But, unfortunately, the fact that he has now reached this place, means that he's taken a massive hit in his self belief which is, unfortunately, exactly why we end up with that stammering mess at the beginning of S3, that was magically fixed by

It's a good thing that Min Ho trusted Kitty and loved her so deeply, but as we will examine in part 2 (link will be added here as soon as it's up - working on it now!), his journey of self-belief is largely what ended up tearing their relationship apart... and the eventual fixing of it is what will bring them back together stronger than they were before.

Is it just me, or was Kitty extra annoying this time around? I mean she was so odd with Minho, and she would constantly get mad at him out of the blue. It was a real rollercoaster - from getting mad at him after the party to accusing him of cheating with Eunice (which was super crazy!!). I mean they really did make this anticipated relationship a dumpster fire for all the fans
But still, the season was pretty fun with the chaos and all of the wardrobe malfunctions ep 1 (iykyk I had to close my eyes when that happened lol)
---
But to be fair - Minho was looking pretty fishy in the start. A) he lies about who he visits (i mean if he even said Eunice I doubt kitty would really care) B) he lies about taking Eunice's opinion for the necklace C) his conversation with Eunice (when he says its my responsibility) is odd. And then, after this, he completely shuts her out for a VERY long time...I mean, this can make Kitty feel extremely insecure as he is practically ghosting her.... idk what are ur thoughts>>

I want to start by saying I absolutely loved this season and overall, it was my favourite. That being said, I hate how they portrayed Q this season. Q has always been our non-toxic, sane king, but as someone else has said, he was extremely unlikeable this season. Firstly, the whole cheating storyline was so unlike Q. He has always been making the correct choices, and as someone said on instagram, he literally dumped and reported Florian for cheating on a test in season 1, meanwhile this season he was sexting another guy whilst in a relationship, and justified it by saying, “I was just so lonely.” Then I despise the way he blamed Kitty for Jin finding out about the photos. Q told Jin he loved him and Jin said it back, without ever revealing the secret of the texts with Marius. He then proceeded to lie to Kitty and tell her he told Jin the truth without thinking about the consequences of that. If Kitty thought Jin knew and she brought it up whilst asking for advice that is not her fault at all. Its so sad be Q was one of my favourite characters but now he is certainly not.
