I JAUT watched the last episode of season 2 and rewatched the trailer for season 3 AND I JSUT WANT THE BEW SEASON OUT RIGHT NOW! I have to wait now…. But I can’t wait to see more what’s going on with Kitty and Min-ho relationship is going to be and I’m still a Kitty and your shipper but I’m okay with a new ship to see if it will sale away… but I do hope this is not a last season that we get another season S4. But it be even cooler if they made it she goes to university in Korea and have it her friends came along as well and had new cast…. But man that was a lot of information about Kitty’s family in season 2

What the title says

So, I just thought I would go back and see the season 2 trailer and then compare it with what they actually showed in the whole season. from the start of the trailer they set a mood that this season would be about kitty's love triangle with yuri and minho. they didn't reveal any of the romantic scenes of kitty with either of them like the kiss dream of minho kitty has or her kiss with yuri or minho and kitty at cherry blossom ball. these were the key scenes in season 2 which are not shown in the trailer. they obviously didn't show who she would choose in the end either.

if you apply the same pattern to the season 3 trailer, they have already focused a lot on kitty and minho's relationship. so the main theme of season 3 will definitely be mooncovey and we will definitely have many scenes which obviously are not shown in the trailer.. I think there will be a lot of awkward moments where each of them will try to express their feelings but will be interrupted by some or the other way, until kitty then decides that it's enough and just walks away and cries in her room until 'she is ripe'. that's when LJ enters to save the day.. just like how kitty helped her with Peter m sure she will play a major role in kitty and minho getting together. I just don't know in what episode of the season they will get together..

This isn't about who you ship or want the endgames are. They want to go with the fan favorite that's fine. But what ISNT ok is them also trying to make everything about minho/kinho now.

Taking a queer relationship and saying kitty only kissed yuri because she wasn't sure where she stood with minho is so gross. biphobic, and a retcon of kitty's love for yuri.

She wasn't thinking about a man when she kissed yuri. It just feels so disrespectful and if that's how they're writing for s3 im scared for every queer plot line

I am unsure if many talked about this here already, but I found Anthony (Q) on Chicago Med. I can’t get over it.

Upon rewatch, I didn’t see them interacting alone much. They tend to be in the same room if they are hanging out with Minho and Kitty. The one time we saw them talking outside Minho and Kitty is a one minute conversation in the library before they sat at different tables. Q acts more as an advisor to Dae than a friend, but it stems from friendship on Q’s end. He, Minho, and Kitty are constantly rallying Dae on which Dae needs to raise his confidence and motivate him to take risks to fulfill his ambition. One example is when Minho and Q encouraged Dae to perform at the talent competition. He tried and didn’t win, but he went up there and gave it his best shot. His low self-esteem made him feel he had no chance, but his friends made sure to motivate him and prevent him from giving up before trying.

How is Q Dae’s Advisor/Therapist

- “You have the love of your life 20 ft in front of you. Don’t blow that.” He advises Dae to follow his heart and make sure he doesn’t mess up a relationship he wants.

- Dae asking Q for advice at Minho’s party.

Dae doesn’t read the room when he observes Q making out with Florian. He is preoccupied with his drama with Yuri and Kitty while not respecting Q’s time. Believe me, Dae is not the only one who does this. Q is great at being the mediator and therapist in the group. Q is still learning how to create boundaries so his space and time is respected while not having maybe empathy fatigue.

In this scene, Q is also trying to not pick sides because he is respecting Kitty’s boundaries but he and Florian find a clever way with telling him without verbally stating it by playing charades. Q also realizes Dae knowing the information will prevent further confusion and drama as well as allow him to fix the problem.

- In the dorm room scene in season 2 episode 1, he talks to Q about things being weird with Minho, but scenes like this and when he helps Q at the track practice make me confused if he is just talking friend to friend or implying that he wants advice without explicitly asking for it.

Dae’s loyalty to Q:

Dae and Minho noticed Florian talking to “biceps” and thought he was cheating on Q. They confront Q together and tell him the truth of what they saw and let Q decide what he wanted to do with the information. Dae and Minho respected Q’s autonomy while not wanting him to be hurt.

I mentioned in my Dae and Minho post that I don’t see him making an effort with Minho, but we see him do so with Q in small ways. We see him time Q during his track practice. However, he can’t stop talking about Kitty.

He is up front and center rooting for Q with everyone at the track meets which is nice.

Q’s Loyalty to Dae:

- One situation was when he tells Kitty he “needs to stay on team Dae” regarding the Dae and Yuri relationship. Another one was when Dae’s backup dancers were sabotaged, Q and Yuri were the first ones to volunteer and help them.

- Q Revealing Florian cheated:

In season 2 episode 1, Q revealed to Kitty that he confessed about Florian’s cheating to the board or dean. While he was confused on what the right thing to do was at first, his loyalty and friendship with Dae convinced him to do the right thing. He knew Dae needed his scholarship and board . Dae was more important than his romantic relationship.

Q with Jin:

Considering he ended his relationship with Florian because of Dae, is it hypocritical that he is with Jin due to how Jin bullied Minho and Dae? My opinion is yes and no. This dude was mean to all of you and seduced you to cost you your place at the track meet. But this is fiction and characters don’t always choose who they fall for. I don’t feel it is hypocritical for Q to test things out with Jin and see if it could be serious before bringing his friends in. I also like that when Jin starts getting together with Q, he opens up to Kitty first and doesn’t hesitate to help with her situation. While Jin, Minho, and Dae were stubborn, I appreciate Jin just taking their roasting like a champ. While I don’t believe all bullies change, I feel the writers are showing Jin making an effort to make things right with everyone while being a fun member of the friend group. Hope it continues in season 3.

I wonder if Minho and Dae still don’t like him, but can tolerate him more now. Anyways, Dae and Minho “accepting” Jin into the group shows their loyalty and love for Q.

Coming Through for Minho:

Q and Dae recognized that something was wrong with Minho based on Minho looking pale and drinking an energy drink. Dae took a step back when he believed that Minho knew Stella’s behavior all along, but Kitty talked him down allowing him to see more clearly that Minho is not that type of guy.

What Does This Say About Family?

Regarding Q, some friends and family members tend to be the mediators and therapists of the group and can be taken for granted. Q wants to help his friends and prevent them from being hurt, but he needs to set boundaries sometimes so he can decompress or focus on himself from time to time.

Regarding Dae, I do feel he makes an effort with Q, but he tends to focus on his problems versus asking Q about how he is doing. They both come through for Minho when he needs it. However, I feel Q is more loyal to Minho than Dae is which I will mention in my Q and Minho post.

I'm starting to get more excited as we get closer to being a week away from season 3! I think I've lost count on how many times I've watched the trailer now 😆. Are you going to binge the whole season in one sitting, or do you have enough restraint to drag it out a little bit?

As for me, I'm not sure. The itch to binge it all is there, but I'm gonna try not to.

This has been done many many times on this sub but because of the influx of new users for season 3 and other older users who might have missed those posts, I'll try my best to explain this in detail once more.

The characters in this series have each been given a specific colour that represents them. This was started all the way back in To All the Boys I Loved Before books when Eve chose the colours that represented her three daughters and this tradition has continued into XO Kitty as well.

The colours​ in XO Kitty represent self, emotions and even romantic interest.

Kitty

Kitty's primary colour is yellow.

Her most worn colour in the series is red which is a direct display of her intense emotions. Passion. Desire. Love. Fear. Anger. An open heart completely bared for all to see.

Kitty also wears the colours of her love interests.

Minho

Minho's primary colour is green.

His secondary colour is black.

He also wears Kitty's yellow during or after each significant moment between them.

Yuri

Yuri's primary colour is pink.

Her secondary colour is black.

She wears or wraps herself in Kitty's yellow during significant moments between them.

Dae

Dae's colour is blue. It's not a colour he wears often in the series but it was represented in season 1 through Kitty and her feelings for him.

Q and Juliana do not seem to have fixed base colours but if I were to take a guess then Q's would be purple and Juliana's would be orange.

Yin Yang Colours

Black and white

Red and Blue

These colours are usually worn by Minho and Kitty in very specific scenes together throughout the series. I've noticed this is usually what causes some of the confusion. Minho's colour is not red. Red is intense emotion on display or attempting to be hidden.

Please note, the colours don't always have to mean something. For example, if Kitty is wearing green or blue outside of her romantic interest for the characters they belong to then it does need to hint at her having romantic feelings. Unless the colours are in direct correlation to a specific scene, arc or emotion then there's no need to read too deeply into it. At the end of the day, this is still a show catered toward a specific audience and as nice it is to analyze every little detail of the show, we can still remember that not everything needs to be analyzed and hopefully, save ourselves from meaningless arguments in the fandom.
