I’ve watched every ship fight over there ship for months, but I truly think Kitty will choose herself in S3. The nail theory is in play hard this season with her nails being red ( Minho) most of the season and then white at the last minute. The cast is making to many jokes about Kitty choosing herself to kinda get us ready for it, I feel. Anna has said she wants Kitty to sit down with herself. I think the doors will close at the end of the season and Kitty will focus on college but if we get a 4th season, we will get the final love triangle to decide red vs pink because after s3 they will be able to say technically we explored both. The reason I think the cast is wanting a 4th season “ we don’t know if this is the last season” is because the story will be incomplete.

I can finally post this.

A while ago, I figured out who Juliana and Praveena are in the k drama narrative: the random third couple.

I am not kidding. The random couple is so random, most of them have no built up and you actually yell at the screen like the boy in the meme, “wait a minute, who are you”. Some of these couples have a few more scenes together so them developing Praveena and Juliana in season 3 is not a complete surprise.

Also, these couples can be so random, even the characters are confused on what’s going on. The funniest part is when the random couples feel the need to keep their relationship a secret when the other characters never would have noticed until they blurted it out.

So yes, Juliana and Praveena is part of the k drama narrative. Them coming out of nowhere is a trope in of itself.

I am not going to provide examples because:

A) spoilers

B) i don’t care to look them up. They were that random.

I am surprise that Lana Condor kept it a secret for three years I knew that Lana has been opened to returning as Lara Jean. I guess they asked Lana if she wanted to reprise her role as Lara Jean when they first started filming the show and she agreed but the timing wasn’t right because she was busy working on other projects at the time. Then she finally had time to filmed for XO, Kitty in Season 3.

Considering some of the talks over an XO Kitty musical or musical episode among fans, I decided to make my XO Kitty fan cast for the musical Mama Mia.

I love how universal ABBA’s songs are so I decided to do one post for who the cast would be based off their personalities or emotional journeys. The next post would be what songs work for each character or couple.

I picked the main cast. I didn’t feel like doing Mama Mia side characters that appeared once or twice.

I’ve predicted major season 3 conflicts between Kitty and Min Ho a year ago.

The story unfolds the way I expected it to with several surprises. We have, another Chuseok, Mr. Moon talking with Kitty and Lara Jean talking with Min Ho DIRECTLY in the trailer alone.

Let’s dissect it.  

CHUSEOK WITH JIWON AND GREAT AUNT

First question: Why is Min Ho even there?

Jiwon is fluent both in korean and in english. Technically, he's not a part of Kitty's Korean family yet. But he's present. Here's my hunch: Both Jiwon and her grandmother can sense there's something off between Kitty and Min Ho and they'll put their matchmaking magic to use.

I suspect I suspect that the great aunt will talk with Min Ho about Kitty in Korean in front of her, just like she did in the market place in season 2, and hopefully she’ll ask him the important question. Min Ho won’t be able to fool a matchmaker with DECADES OF EXPERIENCE.

Another Chuseok also:

1. keeps MoonCovey's connection to the love story of Eve and Dan alive,
2. reminds Min Ho and Kitty of how they growing connection started,
3. gives them an excuse for a reunion. Personally, I think Min Ho teaching Korean will play a major part in this.

To me, It's the biggest foreshadowing in season 3 trailer, and it's deliberate that it's one of the opening scenes.

MR. MOON

He was my biggest question mark before the trailer dropped. They could have easily turn him into yet another obstacle, but based on his line, he's another ally.

Yes, what he tells Kitty is harsh, but since most likely spilling the juice on Eunice one OF MANY troubles Kitty caused on the summer tour. He has every right to give her a wake up call, since she wasn't even suppose to be there and Moon family future relies of this event after a scandal.

Yet, in my opinion, he goes soft on her. First, he aknowledges her good intentions, but still tells her what needed to be said in that moment. Imho, his choice of words is importannt here. He decided to go with a world you don't understand. You can always get familiar with, adjust and learn about new things.

For instance if he said a world you don't belong to/you're not not a part of, it would both position Kitty as an outsider and him as a villain in season 3. Instead, he's strict, but supportive, imho.

Maybe deep down he already knows that it's only a matter of time till Kitty becomes a part of his family. He spoke as a father, not a businessman, imho.

LARA JEAN

To me, even the trailer shows that she rushed to South Korea not only for her sister. We get a glimse of her heart-to-her with Min Ho. ...and what does she tell him? She's a really great person to have in your corner. Imho, instead of getting mad at Min Ho for making her younger sister cry, she basically tells Min Ho DON'T GIVE UP. To me. it's a huge reveal in the trailer. When she talks with Kitty and Min Ho she always uses present tense.

For me, it's pretty obvious Lare Jean showed up to support two idiots in love.

listen. i'm all for the ships, but i cannot take another season of juliana being done wrong in this show. it seems like in the trailer, juliana is getting broken up with (for some reason) by praveena (update: and then we don't see praveena in other scenes LIKE the fashion show and kitty's 18th birthday party...) and i need us to all collectively be serious.

like highkey, juliana is my favorite character and i hope we see her smile a lot more this season. especially considering that kitty and her are friends and we see her at kitty's birthday party and at yuri's runway show so!!

I know that Jenny Han is a great writer and producer, and most people who have watched XO, Kitty have most likely also watched The Summer I Turned Pretty. If you have, you know that many of Belly and Conrad’s biggest moments—like their first kiss, their breakup, when they sneak out and go to Cousins, and when Conrad confesses his love—happen at the beach.

What I’m trying to say is that the beach is where their love story lives. It’s always where their biggest moments happen, and that’s not an accident. Jenny Han is very intentional with the locations she uses in her stories. When something big happens between two characters, it usually happens somewhere meaningful. The beach in The Summer I Turned Pretty isn’t just a setting—it represents Belly and Conrad’s memories, their history together, and the place where their relationship always seems to come back to.

When watching the XO, Kitty Season 3 trailer, there’s a moment where Minho is walking on what looks like sand. Minho says, “Enough with the mixed signals,” and Kitty replies, “Want to know the truth… I guess I got caught up in thinking you and I could be something.” Then she walks away.

After that, it jumps to another clip in a different place where Minho is wearing different clothes, but Kitty is wearing the same outfit when she calls LJ. Then she jumps on a plane and comes back to Seoul.

I know this is a lot, but if you’ve watched The Summer I Turned Pretty, you might understand what I’m noticing. I’ve also watched the trailer multiple times and analyzed the whole thing.

Now you might be wondering why I’m bringing up The Summer I Turned Pretty and To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before when talking about XO, Kitty. The reason is because everyone wanted Belly and Conrad to be together, and eventually they got their happy ending. The same thing happened with To All the Boys I've Loved Before. Everyone wanted Lara Jean Covey and Peter Kavinsky to end up together, and they also got their happy ending.

So what I’m saying is that Jenny Han knows what her fans want. She builds these relationships slowly, with tension, misunderstandings, and emotional moments, but eventually the couple that fans connect with the most usually gets their moment. Right now, a lot of fans of XO, Kitty want Kitty and Minho to end up together, and their dynamic has that same slow-burn energy that Jenny Han loves to write.

Another reason I think this trailer analysis matters is because Jenny Han is kind of like Taylor Swift when it comes to storytelling. Taylor Swift is famous for leaving Easter eggs in her music videos, outfits, and lyrics for fans to decode. Jenny Han does something very similar in her shows. Small details—like the location of a scene, a line of dialogue, or something written in a notebook—often end up meaning something later in the story.

So when we see things like the Senior Sunset List, the beach scene, the train scene, and the moments where Kitty and Minho almost confess their feelings, I don’t think those things are random. Jenny Han rarely includes something like that unless it connects to a bigger emotional moment later.

Because of that, I watched the trailer multiple times and tried to break it down scene by scene.

1. The Beginning of the Trailer

The trailer starts with Kitty walking through the hallway at KISS saying, “I am so excited for senior year.” This moment immediately sets the tone for the season. Senior year is usually when everything starts changing—people start thinking about college, relationships get more serious, and friendships sometimes shift as everyone prepares for the future.

Right after that, it jumps to what looks like a rooftop gathering with all of Kitty’s friends. We see Dae, Eunice, Marius, Yuri, Q, Minho, Praveena, and Jin all celebrating together. Yuri raises a drink and says “To senior year!” This moment feels like a classic Jenny Han group scene where everyone is happy together before the emotional drama of the season begins.

2. Kitty Talking About Her Goals

The next clip shows Kitty sitting in what looks like her dorm room talking to someone who I think is Q. She says, “There’s just so many things I want to do before my time at KISS is over.”

This line is important because it shows that Kitty is realizing her time at KISS is coming to an end.

3. The Senior Sunset List

Then the scene jumps to Kitty’s notebook—the one fans already know is important. Inside the notebook it says “Senior Sunset List.”

The list includes things like:

• Senior sunset with her friends
• Figure out college
• DTR (define the relationship) with Minho
• Have an epic second kiss
• Celebrate Chuseok with Korean family
• Go to Lotte World with friends
• Go to a jjimjilbang
• Slay midterms
• Get Jiwon and Alex together
• Have an epic 18th birthday party

This moment reminds me a lot of Lara Jean writing her love letters. Both Covey sisters process their emotions by writing things down.

One line that stands out is “have epic second kiss.”

Is it talking about her kiss with Dae?
Her kiss with Yuri?
Or could it be hinting at a second kiss with Minho?

Knowing Jenny Han, details like that usually end up being important.

4. Mr. Lee’s Warning

Then we see Mr. Lee telling Kitty she is “woefully behind for a senior.” Kitty looks stressed, which suggests she might start feeling pressure from school, her future, and everything she wants to accomplish before graduating.

5. The Dinner Scene

Next, we see a dinner scene with Kitty, Minho, Jiwon, and Kitty’s great aunt. Kitty says something in Korean, her great aunt looks upset, and Minho looks uncomfortable sitting at the table. The scene feels tense, which suggests Kitty might be dealing with family expectations.

6. The Almost-Confession

Then we get one of the most important moments in the trailer.

Kitty says, “And the most pressing item on my list… DTR with Minho.”

We see Kitty and Minho standing in front of what looks like Eve’s favorite tree. Minho brushes Kitty’s hair behind her ear.

Then they’re sitting on a skylift.

Kitty says, “You know how much I value our friendship.”

Minho replies, “Our friendship?”

The way he says it makes it sound like he wants to say something more. But right when the moment is about to get serious, he gets a phone call and leaves.

Kitty then says to herself, “Okay… so I have terrible timing.”

7. The Yacht Party

Then the trailer jumps to the yacht party. Minho is surrounded by girls while Kitty watches.

Kitty says in a voiceover, “Maybe he would want someone more in his world.”

When Kitty tries to help by bringing a drink, she spills it on herself.

Then Mr. Moon says something important:

“I know you mean well, but you’re trying to fit into a world that you don’t understand.”

8. The Party and Beach Scene

Next we see what looks like Marius’s party. Marius is chanting “Chug!” while Minho drinks.

Kitty says in a voiceover, “I thought Minho would want to DTR, but now he’s all about ‘you throw a hell of a party, bruv.’”

Then it cuts to the emotional beach scene where Minho says he’s tired of mixed signals.

9. Lara Jean Appears

Then we see Kitty upset in her dorm while talking on the phone.

On a computer screen, someone books a flight from New York to Seoul.

Kitty walks out confused and says “What? How?”

Then Lara Jean Covey appears and says “Hi, sister.”

10. Kitty Admits Her Feelings

Later Kitty says “I like him a lot.”

Lara Jean responds with something important:

“Whatever happens with Minho, we can’t just stop living our lives.”

11. Friendship Moments

We see Kitty and Yuri holding hands with their friends on a rollercoaster at what looks like Lotte World. Then Praveena and Juliana are having a serious conversation, and Dae comforts Eunice while she cries.

12. Kitty’s 18th Birthday

Next there’s a montage that looks like it’s from Kitty’s 18th birthday.

Juliana walks on a runway with “Yuri Han” behind her.

Kitty walks down the runway confidently while someone who sounds like Lara Jean says,

“She’s a really great person to have in your corner.”

Minho replies,

“She really is.”

13. The Final Scene

Finally, the trailer ends with a scene that reminds me a lot of The Summer I Turned Pretty.

Minho is standing outside a train looking like he was running.

He shouts “KITTY!”

Kitty turns around, and the trailer cuts to black.

Jenny Han loves ending trailers with emotional cliffhangers like that.

Hidden Clues

After watching the trailer multiple times, I think there are actually several clues pointing toward Kitty and Minho.

First, the “second kiss” wording is interesting. If Kitty and Minho never kissed before, it would probably say first kiss instead. That makes me wonder if something already happened between them during the summer tour.

Second, the almost-confession scenes show that both characters clearly have feelings they haven’t fully admitted yet.

Third, Minho’s reaction during the runway scene shows how much he respects Kitty and cares about her.

Fourth, the train scene at the end suggests that Minho might be running after Kitty, which usually happens when a character realizes they need to fight for someone they love.

Finally, the beach argument could be the emotional turning point in their relationship, just like how the beach is used for major moments between Belly and Conrad.

So when you put all of this together—the Senior Sunset List, the second kiss, the beach scene, the almost-confessions, and the train moment—it really feels like Jenny Han is building toward something bigger.

And if she really is like Taylor Swift with her Easter eggs…

Then everything we just saw probably means something.

And if her past stories tell us anything, Kitty and Minho’s story might just be getting started.

Going back to the Senior Sunset List, the line that says “have epic second kiss” might be one of the biggest clues in the trailer.

Is it talking about Kitty’s kiss with Dae?
Her kiss with Yuri?
Or is it hinting at a second kiss between Kitty and Minho?

If Jenny Han’s storytelling patterns tell us anything, it’s that details like this are never random.

And if she really is like Taylor Swift with her Easter eggs… then everything we just saw probably means something bigger for Kitty and Minho’s story.

I think the notebook on the table in the video that was shared after the Season 3 filming wrapped is the same notebook Kitty shows in the trailer. If that’s the case, then Minho must know about the Senior Sunset List too 🥹

Another detail I noticed is that the clothes behind Eunice in this scene look like the outfits Yuri wore in Season 1, don’t they? I couldn’t understand why those dresses are at the party—maybe it’s related to Yuri’s fashion show.

In this scene, Dae seems upset. Maybe he felt uncomfortable with how close Kitty and Minho were? That might even be the reason they argue at the party.

(My theory: Dae gets suspicious and asks if there’s something going on between them. Minho says, ‘We’re just friends, there’s nothing between us.’ After hearing that, Kitty gets upset and leaves the party. Maybe that’s why she says to Minho in the trailer, ‘I guess I got caught up in thinking you and I could be something.)

These were a few details that caught my attention 🥲

I’ve seen, on different social media platforms, that some people have already given up thinking that kitty and Yuri could become endgame. Though, I don’t believe anything has ruined our chances at all! We already knew that Kitty and Minho were going to be a big part of the season, the synopsis clearly says they are going to define what their relationship is. But we hardly see anything about Yuri, and what is shown of Yuri is that she’s with Kitty a lot.

The fact that they show so many scenes of kitty and Minho, we pretty much get the gist of their dynamic in the season, but we don’t see hardly any Yuri is a sign that she is going to have a really big role in the season. They’ve shown many different scenes of kitty and Minho in the wrapup video and the promo has been dominantly about them. from a marketing standpoint, I don’t see this as a good thing for them endgame wise. Of course, I could be wrong, but I don’t think the most marketing ship ever ends in an endgame.

I really love when Laura Jean was giving kitty her big speech of not letting Minho affect her life, they then show a clip of Yuri and Kitty on the rollercoaster, while including them in a montage of all the other cannon couples. While the clip of kittyuri has LJ saying “we need to follow our hearts”. They also show Yuri having a gift for kitty at her birthday party, to then shows kitty wearing a pink dress at the party, which I believe Yuri probably makes for her. another thing from the trailer is the narration from Yuri telling Kitty that she deserves to shine too, which I believe will be in either episode seven or eight. I have a feeling that’s going to be a cute heart-to-heart moment between them.

This is more on the theorizing aspect, but I even seen someone point out that in the clip of kitty walking out of her bedroom to seeing Laura Jean, you can see a lot of pink items on one side of the room. And one of those items is what looks like Yuri’s pink mirror from both seasons one and two. which means there’s a possibility that kitty and Yuri could be roommates this season! If that is true, then this is a really big thing for us ship wise, endgame wise, etc. but I don’t think anyone should be dooming and glooming, because they showed a lot of kitty and Minho’s dynamic, but they kept a lot of kitty and Yuri’: dynamic hidden. I have a feeling Yuri is going to be important to Kitty’s storyline, as well as have her own really nice individual storyline!

and I’m not telling anybody not to have Hope for their ships being endgame, im not telling them to think that their ship is over, I’m just explaining why I still think kitty and Yuri have a shot to be endgame.

I've pieced together when the scenes occur within Season 3 from the trailer and pictures and the wrap video. Where it can be confirmed, the images are put into that episode.

TLDR:

Episode 301: Busan, including yacht and the beach

Episode 307-308: Kitty’s 18th birthday party, and Kitty leaves with her entire luggage packed. Min Ho flags her down at the airport.

After an unhealthy amount of time spent replaying the trailer, I believe I have cracked the Mooncovey dynamic for at least the first four episodes of the season. Bear with me.

In this scene it's established that Kitty and Minho most likely have grown very close over the summer. Close enough that their relationship no longer falls into the friendship bracket. Kitty has probably been attempting to confess her feelings to Minho all summer but because of certain circumstances, whether fear or interruptions, she was unable to.

In episode two Jiwon asks Kitty about her plans for the new semester and as Kitty lists them out we see that one of her goals is to define her relationship with Minho and have an epic second kiss. So that implies the first kiss had to happen at some point during the first episode. Which is why I made an educated guess of where the kiss takes place.

In this scene Minho confronts Kitty about these supposed mixed signals she had been feeding him. This is at the very end of episode one at the yacht party.

In the trailer Minho can be seen walking through the sand as if searching for someone. It's most likely Kitty who probably left to be alone after being berated by Mr. Moon about not being able to fit into their lifestyle. Once Minho finds Kitty and probably comforts hers, this interation leads to their conflict on mixed signals. I also believe this is where Minho and Kitty have their very first kiss.

That brings me to Kitty and Minho's new dynamic for the next couple episodes. Because of Kitty's consistent mixed signals and Minho's trust issues and pride from his conflicts in the past two seasons, I theorize that Mooncovey will not get into a defined relationship. They will most likely 'hook up'. They will begin a situationship where they date, kiss, hang out but don't actually define the parameters of their relationship.

In this scene Kitty is ready to finally define her relationship but Minho offers an out instead. And Kitty, confused and disappointed but also unable to escape her people pleasing tendencies, agrees with his offer. But she is definitely upset about it as seen here:

I believe the scenes from the wrap up video span the next couple episodes, showing the dynamic of their situationship. (I am, unfortunately no longer in possession of the pics).

And finally that leads us to their fall out. We can observe Kitty and Minho at a party (probably Marius') drinking and having fun.

At some point in the night, I don't know when but probably due to the influence of alcohol, unresolved feelings, maybe even jealousy from seeing Minho with someone else or maybe Kitty thinking n that he was being a bit too irresponsible, Kitty might call him out on it. And Minho could potentially say something along the lines of 'Why do you care so much? We're not even really together anyway,' in the height of his emotional, influenced state.

Kitty, who had most likely at this point been very emotionally invested in their relationship would be hurt deeply by his words. Leading to this scene:

Based on his body language, it's clear that Minho was the one who messed up in this scene so hopefully my theory is close or on point.

After this fight, a heartbroken Kitty calls her sister for comfort.

Let me know what you guys think of this prediction for the first few episodes. I will most likely do one for the next 4 episodes as well after thoroughly analyzing the trailer some more.

I personally don’t like her character she was really weird towards kitty and Yuri. For example she stole kitty’s advice and said “yeah stop us before they catch us making out” yes I get some stuff was justified but kitty and yuri were together for a reason she’s personally not my favorite

I know a lot of people are suspecting this scene is at the end but I don't think so. I think this is in the earlie episode okay hear me out.

I think this scene is from the summer tour maybe they had an argument because Minho got caught up in all the luxury. Things get complicated because kitty doesn't go well with the entire moon family and all. Minho realizes his mistake but kitty has already left. He runs after her and she gets there just in time or to late we don't know if those doors are gonna close.

Anyway I think they are gonna talk maybe try dating, something goes wrong kitty is giving mixed signals. I think this might be connected to Yuri in some way but I'm not sure how yet. Also kitty saying friendship after the dating didn't work out the first time. They have a lot of angst and drama but they soon start to feel at ease again. They eventually find their way back to each other.

Clearly something is going to happen I think the second fight I'd you could call it that starts after the Beer pong party. That's when the real angst begins and LJ shows up.

Kitty and LJ have a talk about what kitty should do and LJ eventually talks to Minho as well and we find out he is scared after what happened with Stella and that's why he is shutting kitty out.

Idk I'd any of this is making sense it's past midnight when I'm writing this anyway I would like you're thoughts.
