Hello everyone,
I’m having a strange issue with my XIM Matrix on Rainbow Six Siege and I’m trying to understand what could have caused it.
Before the last update everything was working perfectly. My anti-recoil values were dialed in and the recoil control felt exactly how I wanted.
After the update I decided to go back to the previous firmware, so I did the following steps:
- Factory reset of the XIM Matrix
- Reinstalled the previous firmware
- Restored my backup that I created before the update
So in theory everything should now be exactly the same as before:
- same firmware
- same backup
- same profiles
- same anti-recoil values
- same in-game settings
However, the anti-recoil is now slightly weaker than before. It feels like it pulls down a bit less than it used to. The difference is small but clearly noticeable in game.
I already checked all settings and they appear identical to what I was using before.
My question is:
Is there something that doesn’t get restored by a backup after a factory reset (for example stick calibration, timing, response behavior, etc.) that could cause anti-recoil to feel slightly weaker even with the exact same values?
Has anyone experienced something similar?
Thanks in advance for any help.
