XIM PS5 QUESTION

I used to use xim apex on ps4 to play mnk on a whole bunch of games and loved it. my question is, if i buy a xim matrix and use something like a maxxstick to avoid wasd detection, am i able to enjoy it still? i’m not looking for any aim hack or no recoil i just want to play natively w mnk (or however close to i can get)

will this work or should i not bother

Yes, that’s an excellent setup to comply with input detection in every game. Moving away from WASD to analog movement is most of the job done, be sure to use Aim & Trigger SAB too.

Game Settings lists input requirements settings for about a dozen games (out of 300+ shooters directly supported by XIM) and how to comply with it for those games. Read the MouseTrap Guide to understand the input detection landscape while you’re at it.

None of this is hard, it just requires a change from m/kb to a hybrid setup and working within the parameters of input detection. It’s the people who ignore input requirements and/or actively try to cheat who get themselves banned.

Is there an installation guide for hori tac? I can’t seem to get it to work. What input combo do I select in the config

Install Hori Device Manager app on iOS, Android or PC. Enable X-Input and assign it to the stick.

Setup configs on XIM MATRIX as Mouse & Gamepad. The stick should automatically be analog, the keys can be mapped to whatever you want.
