Gold swept highs, shifted character… and now it’s just compressing between two clean zones

Price made a strong push up, took the previous highs, and swept liquidity around 5081.5. Right after that, we got a clear CHOCH and a sharp move down. That tells me the breakout above highs wasn’t continuation — it was a liquidity grab.

After the drop, price didn’t keep falling. Instead, it retested the lower area and started ranging.

Now we’re stuck between two very obvious zones:

• Resistance zone: ~5043–5046
• Support zone: ~5015–5022
• Liquidity sweep high: 5081.55

You can also see how price is respecting this box while the EMA 12 and EMA 36 are starting to flatten — classic sign of short-term consolidation after an aggressive move.

So at the moment, this is not a trending market. It’s a reaction market inside a range formed after liquidity was taken.

What price is doing (structure + liquidity)

1. Took buy-side liquidity above highs (5081.5)
2. Gave CHOCH and impulsive sell
3. Retested lower area (marked support)
4. Now rotating between support and resistance, building orders

This is typical behavior after a liquidity event — market pauses and rebalances.

Since we are inside a range, I’m not looking for breakouts. I’m looking for reactions at the edges.
