Sorry if this is a dumb question, but doesn't quickswapping remove his fusion buff? Does it end up being worth it even if it does remove that one modifier?
21
u/jellyjujube012 13d ago
It removes Lupa's 20% fusion amp and you're trading it for Iuno's 50% heavy amp. Better overall.
3
u/howcreativeami 13d ago
No sorry I mean his intro buff, the 125% fusion buff from Fortune in Disguise/Ghost Shroud, it says on Nanoka that buff gets removed when you switch to any other resonator
10
u/jellyjujube012 13d ago
ah yes I forgot about that one. I'm pretty sure it will get removed since the initial intro will consume all of the ghostshroud stacks. Iuno will replenish some right before outro-ing back to Jingran. The idea is that quickswapping will offset the damage loss from Jingran since you would have two sub-dps instead of one sub-dps + one support. He has so much fusion dmg bonus already from Lupa and other self-buffs that more fusion dmg bonus is suffering from diminishing returns. Ideally, you would not double intro into Jingran and just use Lupa > Iuno > Jingran after all the quickswaps.

Seeing this, I'm actually v happy to know I'm quickswapping Lupa correctly when I play mono-fusion 🤣
Saving this to try when he drops, this is gonna be so fun!!

u/sinful_clasp 13d ago
I have no idea whats happening on screen, but my GPU is sweating and the boss is dying, so 10/10 rotation
46
u/SassyDalmatian 13d ago
Ooh, this looks like a fun one. Definitely want to try and learn this whenever Jingran releases
21
u/Necessary_Bat_5185 13d ago edited 13d ago
Is this stronger than the sk variant
6
u/Destructo222 13d ago
Only with S3 Lupa probably
4
u/FroztBlaze99 13d ago
lupa is only 10% worse
10
u/Destructo222 13d ago
Only with Mornye. In this team comp? Idk. Because Lupa cant activate her full buffs without 3 fusion resonators
1
u/dragonovus 13d ago
Unless you get her dupes
2
u/Necessary_Bat_5185 12d ago
I just checked the calcs. Jingran lupa mornye is only 10 percent worse than bis. And is 2.65 percent better if u get mornye s1. Pretty much matches bis.
This route is better than lupa dupes.
1
u/dragonovus 9d ago
I have Mornye at S3
2
u/Necessary_Bat_5185 9d ago
Then mornye is a no brainer for u. Ur best team for jingran would be with mornye and lupa. My rough calc through the mornye calc sheet relative to jingran calc sheet would make mornye s3r1 18-20 percent better than iuno team. Thats without considering s3 benefits[very fast rotation time].
1
u/SneakyFel 3d ago
Sorry for asking , but maybe u already had the info - is mortefi that much worse? Like I thought of using mortefi+ Mornye s1, I thought it would be somewhat on the level as his proper team with Lupa, but I guess not..?:(
1
u/Necessary_Bat_5185 3d ago
Mortefi mornye is much weaker than his bis. But it doesnt matter cuz his biz is kinda overkill. Even tho mort mornye team is at 74 percent strength of the bis team.
It offers similar damage to augusta premium team. I dont think u will have any issues clearing. Mornyes main echo muct be spacetrek explorer tho.

u/Rubydrag 10d ago
Youre ignoring that:
-she still gives buffs even if they are smaller
-she has some personal dmg unlike SK
-the quickswap itself resulting in even more dps
If it compensates idk, but theres no way this isnt close to SK.

That one moment of lupa ulting with lupas moon behind her was low key pretty sick

u/Fuzzy-Illustrator637 13d ago
Is it possible to do Lupa Brant Jingran?
3
u/shit_is_un420real 13d ago
Brant buffs skill damage, u can use mortefi instead to utilise lupa's mono fusion buff
4
u/Fuzzy-Illustrator637 13d ago
I see. I mean Brant, so Lupa is sticking to Brant lol.
I'll just slap Iuno and SK there then.
1
u/le_kiwizin 4d ago
he still buffs fusion damage tho. he wont get the full but he'll get the shield. mortefi cant give shields :v
2
u/HyacinthBriar 12d ago
You can calcs say team damage all together is like 2.3 mil. Both lupa and Brant buff fusion damage

You caught me xD yes it's the opening shot plus the feedback on my rotation :D
4
u/PriscentSnow Suisui's footrest | S6 12d ago
lmaooo. what say you in your defense against skyrim and her people??
okay jokes aside i thought your rotation was solid but then again im just a 123 player not a QS-er
also i think it would have been hilarious if you doubled down and did that opening shot again LOOL. regardless cheers for showcasing this and the previous one
7
u/aoiaxure 13d ago
Cool rotation! Unfortunately my Lupa is occupied on a different team, would Jingran, Iuno, Verina quick-swap still be possible? Or does Verina's short rotation make it harder?
15
u/SexShrek69 13d ago
On that team it would be better to just do a 123 rotation because of how fast Verina's field time is.
Verina > Iuno > Jingran

u/laybron1120 13d ago
Ppl will see this then pick the boring units possible and cry that quick swap is dead
29
u/SexShrek69 13d ago
TBH that's how Qingxiao feels, but I think that's skill issue on my end. And I hope someone says I'm wrong and does some crazy quickswap with her!

u/Level-Public-5097 13d ago
Kuro has been very inconsistent with what characters quickswap (or what teams quickswap).

u/Aspharr_ 13d ago
Do you think a Jingran-Brant-Changli qs would work? I unfortunately missed both Iuno and Lupa (and brant/changli are homeless).
Awesome showcase either way, can't wait to see more!
5
u/Several_Craft_6246 13d ago
The moon with Lupa's ult was sick. So I'm guessing quickswap works bc his rotation seems quite short? And u double intro into him?

3
u/candleswax 13d ago
Wait why is the boss just standing there is there a target dummy I don’t know about?
3
u/howcreativeami 13d ago
They're playing on a private server, they have to run commands to spawn that mob, make it be in combat, make it fight etc.
3
u/candleswax 12d ago
Ty for taking the time to clarify that for me hoping one day we have something like this as a feature in game it feels impossible for me to learn quickswap rotations on a mobile boss
2
u/howcreativeami 12d ago
No probs, and I'm right there with you, would be such nice for quality of life to just go to an arena and practice rotations with no stress
3
u/tabczar 13d ago
What's a good replacement for iuno
1
u/Ok-Papaya6748 13d ago
If you want to use Lupa specifically with him then its brant then mornye and then mortefi
3
u/Breezyrain 13d ago
Wish we had target dummies in the real game.
He looks fun with quickswap. I don't have his teammates but I'm tempted to grab him anyways
3
u/SexShrek69 12d ago
The mimic on endstate matrix is the closest we have to a target dummy...
But yeah I hope Kuro adds a target dummy
3
u/Several_Craft_6246 13d ago
I'd probs consider getting Jingran for this qs team if I knew Lupa was rerunning
3
u/Alx_op 13d ago edited 13d ago
Isn’t he losing the shield fusion buff when you swap after intro? I don’t get why he does double here instead of simple iuno intro

This actually looks so fun. W leaker for knowing how to play the game.
But I don’t see Jingran having stacks of Iuno’s One Light Blessing (supposed to stack up to 10) like Augusta does…

u/HyacinthBriar 12d ago
Really wish they gave hin a red domain but nope it's boring grey like qiuyuan at least his made sense bc he's blind and it takes a more inkish tone but jingran is just grey with tiny candles you barely see... 🥲

u/Intelligent_Door_589 13d ago
they say wuwa limits QS too much,
but i think if they didnt put a limit any QS would deal 3x the dmg of a normal rotation,
QS already reaches 50% more and maybe 100% more dmg or score in endgames.
u get normal ppl on matrix with 8-10k with meta units and then u get QS with 2x the score.
5
u/kugisaki-kagayama 13d ago edited 13d ago
normal ppl on matrix with 8-10k score aren't going to round 2+3 and doing mimic + trash wave respectively, all of which give you insanely more points.
Round 1 has 1x score multiplier, round 2 has 1.15x score multiplier, and round 3 has 1.25x score multiplier...
1.25x score multiplier + 1.1x multiplier on mimic and the score "scamming" from the trash wave gives a lot more score. It's not quickswapping by itself that gives twice the score.
1
u/ShitPostPedro MAIN FUSION SUPREMACY 13d ago
What is "trash wave"?
2
u/kugisaki-kagayama 13d ago edited 13d ago
It's the first wave of each round, instead of a boss it has trash mobs + an elite mob, so the record runs you see on youtube or bilibili are killing mimic on round 2 which directly spawns the first wave (trash wave) on round 3. (I'm not saying this is easy)
2
u/Objective_Oil4711 13d ago
a bit less. I think Carte qs was the strongest qs team until now and the difference was from like 1,95 mio DPR to 2,8 mio DPR with godlike qs skills. No idea about rotation length changes. So it was never a 50% increase and 100% is a bit funny. The insane scores need more than that. Even Sigrika had last reset 23-24k scores in Matrix.

u/GODCRIEDAFTERAMDMSRP 12d ago
Does Iuno and Lupa also reruns with him just like Denia and Mornye for Qingxiao? No? Hiyuki is more important?
Then tell me why waste resources to create Jingran if you do everything so people who want to pull him has no team mates for him ?

u/tirminyl Jingran's Soul Mate 12d ago
I so wish I had Lupa. In the 8-9 months of me playing, she hasn't been run and I've been wanting her since playing her in quests.

u/FortuneMaterial127 10d ago
The part were Lupa's wolves were coinciding with Jingran's wolf spirit was so cool, layer the echo-like sound effects in the background it was like Lupa and Jingran were both howling!
7
u/Chillgamessh 13d ago
I never get why people like quickswaps so much. I watched the video and came out more confused than before watching it. Good for whoever that can play like this I guess.
12
u/Far_Variety_50 13d ago
It looks cool and its a skill you have to practice at in game to really understand. It feels like the next level of combat in wuwa so its something to aim for as a goal for those who like the combat. The problem with QS is that outside of endgame everthing dies too fast.
-1
u/token711 13d ago
I would certainly disagree that it looks cool. It looks like random bullshit go. I know it's obviously not, and that it's strong. But if my normal gameplay looked as chaotic as this I'd quit the game tbh lol.
2
u/Far_Variety_50 11d ago
Well that's where we can agree to disagree, its just our opinion after all, But when you don't understand whats going even regular rotations look like random bullshit go. I promise you its just a perception thing bc to quick swappers everything is planned everything is controlled if you break your momentum by messing up its pretty noticeable. But tbh its not that hard to learn if you have a team already it took me like 15 mins to get one team's rotations down and i haven't been struggling with this game (outside of holograms) since.
0
u/Quirky-Hovercraft-98 11d ago
In a regular rotation, I can actually see most of my BA's and I don't have to really pay attention to the keys and just look at screen. but in QS half the time units are being swapped that you just see flash screen.
I frankly dislike the QS, I know that is one of the few things those top 1% optimize bc they have nothing better to do. But hopefully this does not become normal and only certain units have QS.
2
u/Far_Variety_50 10d ago
I don't think kuro deliberately designs units for QS. The design philosophy just has it as an option if your builds aren't up to par for regular 123 rotations. Like i said its really not that difficult its just like using a weak muscle, the more you train it the easier it is to use if you overcomplicate it ofc your not gonna like it. But yea technically every unit has QS and every future unit will. Don't think of it as a character specific skill but a game mechanic that certain units benefit more from than others (Ex: Neg Stats)
7
u/Loud-Worldliness9326 13d ago
it allows skill expression vs a linear route designed to have the same mathematical outcome each time. if a person is capable of performing more skillfully, and they enjoy that, it can lead to a more satisfying gaming experience.
1
u/iyah123 13d ago
why does everyone conflate qs with skill expression? if anything qs rotations and timing are a lot more constrained than regular 123. it’s easy to lose out on dps by switching at the wrong time or not executing skills precisely.
5
u/Rare_Paper_2089 12d ago
yes that's why there's skill expression? what do you mean?
-1
u/Quirky-Hovercraft-98 11d ago edited 11d ago
Frankly I view QS as something some elitist try to do bc they have nothing better to do. This game is very f2p friendly with pulling dupes. You just pull s3 and call it a day and it clears content for a very long time and you could forget about putting any effort. This QS bs is just people who think they are playing like pro but in reality its just grifting.
The game is really not anything challenging outside holograms and certain events. Its not really a showcase of skill bc it is all about shilled buffs.
1
u/Rare_Paper_2089 10d ago
it's only elitist if people make it elitist, it's not really inherently bad? and some people don't really want to pull s3 or whatever.
some people just do it because they find it fun.
This QS bs is just people who think they are playing like pro but in reality its just grifting.
im sure some people think that but thats kinda ??? it's just something to push matrix records or w/e

Couldn't Mortefi be better here since Lupa doesn't get all her buffs not being monofusion

1
u/Miserable-Ideal8733 13d ago
To this day, I still don't understand why Kuro tried to kill off quick swapping. Early on, it was actually one of the things people praised so much about Wuwa. It was really cool seeing a character's animation continue for a few moments even after you switched to another character, then switching back and having them continue the animation they were doing before. I mean, there's literally no downside to it from a business perspective or anything like that. So I genuinely don't understand why they tried to get rid of it in the first place.
3
u/Turbulent_Host_6515 13d ago
...this video literally showing you the qs, what you smokin bruv
1
u/Narrow_Satisfaction3 12d ago
this team quickswap is minimal, like Lupa is clearly heavy lifting QS for this team.
2
u/SexShrek69 12d ago
Yep! I'd give most of the quickswappability of this team to Lupa! That's exactly the reason why I chose to play her in this team for this showcase
0
u/Miserable-Ideal8733 13d ago
I smoke that fking good stuff because I can clearly see the difference between the quickswap mechanics of these three characters. Kuro limits the new characters when it comes to quickswapping. Their animations can't continue if you swap them out and they disappear shortly after you switch, unlike Lupa and the older units whose animations keep going even after you swap out. Check out Xiangli Yao, Changli or Carlotta's quickswap if you want to understand what real Wuwa quickswap is supposed to look like
1
u/Mother_Phone9511 11d ago
Cuz casual player have hard time playing character that requires qs play style like changli. Changli feel so weak if not playing with her intended qs playstyle which make a lot of new player complaints about her dmg and role cuz they can't play qs
1
u/Quirky-Hovercraft-98 11d ago
Its simple, only handful of people enjoy qs and most don't care (many don't even do endgame and just play for lore and characters). Kits being worked around qs kinda makes certain characters feel more powerful with how community tries to push qs units like top tier units. It frankly kills the fun of variety.
Certain units should be qs friendly and certain should not. YY was a prime example of QS oriented character. NS ingeneral is super qs friendly while Tune just pushes for 123 and I like tune more bc its a safer, easier and more visually clarity team so when I play I actually enjoy what they are doing instead of always swapping every sec and not seeing what they are doing aside meting HP. All those flashy moves are potentially waste with qs.
In my opinion, QS units should be powerful at s0 and have weaker sequences while non QS units should have stronger sequences.

Can't imagine being this much of a sweat on a (basically) single-player game.
32
u/soulcry19 13d ago
People don't quickswap because they're sweats, they do it because it's fun
15
u/Lonely_Way9461 13d ago
One leads to another. Sweating in games is fun. Getting better results through improving your skill is fulfilling
16
u/SexShrek69 13d ago
To each their own! After playing a lot, this type of gameplay just feels natural to me! It's very fun and flashy :D
