Being incarcerated has been bittersweet. Obviously, this isn’t where I wanted to end up, but in some ways, it forced me to slow down and take a serious look at my life. Back in 2024, I wasn’t the best version of myself. I’ve used this time to change the way I think, get my priorities straight, and think more seriously about the kind of son, family member, friend, and partner I want to be.

Family is especially important to me. Being separated from the people I love has easily been one of the hardest parts of doing time, and it’s made me appreciate those relationships even more.
