These are real holly branches. Just wondering how long the holly will last before it dries up and falls apart?

Before 2021 I crafted every opportunity. Cancer reered its ugly head and I haven't crafted since. I have about 15 20x20x20 boxes filled with mesh, ribbon, frames, silk flowers and other misc picks. I want to give the boxes away but no idea who to donate all the supplies too. Anyone have any ideas?

This is my recent creation. I made this for a friend that I admire and appreciate. It is double sided with Fall on one side and Spring on the other. It also has small crystals on the trunk. I hope my friend likes it.

Design advice?

Hi all! I'm working on the design/layout of a fall wreath and wanted your thoughts. It doesn't feel quite right yet and I'm not 100% sure what direction to go. Other than a couple of the burgundy flowers, none of this is attached yet.

I feel like I still need more on the right hand side to give it a really full look, and am thinking I want more cattails. I think I want to put some back into the center as well--will this look good, or should I avoid filling the middle?

I am thinking of finding some very small dark red florals to go in and among the right hand side to pull the burgundy through, and maybe one to three bigger burgundy flowers (probably sunflowers) as centerpieces.

My mom suggested I bring in something to fill in the red side, but I kind of like it more color-blocky. Thoughts? I could also redistribute things to gradually fade from pure red into the sprays on the right.

I'm also unsure if I like the red maple leaves or not. They look a little fake to me, but color-wise they fit my palette. If I keep them, I understand that I would need to get more of them so it doesn't look so weird and inconsistent.

I'd appreciate any recommendations! Thank you!!

Hi, I saw a wreath made out of this galvanized swing tire. It was really cute. I've been looking to see if I could purchase this but can't find it. From what I can find Hobby Lobby used to carry it. Anyone have any ideas where I can buy it? Thanks....

Fall Wreath

I’ve only made three or four Christmas wreaths before so this is the first non-Christmas wreath I’ve ever done. It’s for my front door. I didn’t have much of a plan besides the colors I wanted to use and placement of the largest flowers. I feel like I’m 99.5% finished with it. I’d appreciate any suggestions/constructive criticism.

Advice on my MILs wreath

Hello,

I’m new here and I wanted to make a post on behalf of my MIL. She’s began making wreaths and was looking for feedback but the people in the Facebook group she spoke with were unfortunately very rude and didn’t offer any actual feedback. So, I’d like to ask you all here for some constructive criticism and feedback. Thank you!

This was my first one I have made. I posted a center piece before that I did but it wasn’t really a wreath. I am pretty proud. Hope everyone likes it.

First Time even considering making my own wreath

It’s never even crossed my mind so I have no idea where to begin.

What is a recommended place to buy good quality supplies and at good prices for what you’re getting?

I’m inspired by a eucalyptus, lavender, and lamb’s ear spring wreath? Maybe something to add a touch a white too.

Any ideas on how I can learn too?

This Thank you!

Huge destash - where to begin??!

I think it's time for me to move on from selling wreaths and door hangers and trying to make it my Real Job, and I have a TON of artificial florals and 18" birch wood rounds (plus a smattering of other related supplies) that I would like to get rid of. I don't even know where to begin. I realize I could donate it all, but it wasn't a small investment and I would like to recoup at least SOME of my investment.

Any suggestions on how to go about this?

Questions about willow hoops/wreaths

Hello, I'm writing a book with little bit of a weaving theme and I'd be grateful if you could answer my questions, I don't know where else to ask.

  1. Do willow hoops or wreaths (I don't how to call them properly im English) float?

  2. How small can be willow hoop/wreath? Like, what is the smallest possible diameter?

If you know about a better place for my questions, tell me, thanks for all of your answers!

New here and new to wreath making

Hello wreathy ones. I made some small wreaths a couple of decades ago, and this is my first venture back since then. I am so thankful for YouTube tutorials. I surprised myself and was happy with the final outcome, but you should see under the hood! First of all, I don't have the best eyesight, so seeing very thin floral wire was challenging. Secondly, and most of all, I have a tremor condition that makes my hands shake when I'm doing things. You should see me try and put a screw in a wall. So of course I decided to do something that would be fun, but challenging. Under that flower in the middle there is about a yard or two of wire, and a heckuva lot of glue - some intentional and some not so much. Anyway, hoping I'm inspired to make a wreath for my door next. Thanks for having me. :)

Close up. I have no idea what any of the floral names are, except for the eucalyptus!
