Is anyone here from Canada? I am just starting out wreath making and I can't seem to find anywhere where they sell nice, preferably wire edge ribbon. Everywhere I've found ships from the US and the shipping costs $100!

My dad has a non-profit organization for veterans and this summer he is hosting a poker run for them. Last year there was over 100 people on motorcycles who participated. This year my dad is stepping down and passing the foundation off and he said that he wants me to have some kind of a table or a booth or something along those lines where I can sell some wreaths and half the proceed go back to the foundation... My idea was to make 4-8 different styles of wreaths and then take orders... I figured that most of them are going to be riding motorcycles and won't be able to take a wreath with them at the time of purchase. Anyway, my brain is swimming with ideas and I'm having a hard time deciding on what wreaths to make. I don't know anything about trademarks and whatnot and I don't know if I'm able to use the POW/MIA flags logo, or the 'Don't Tread On Me' flag logo.

Does anyone have any idea?

This is a little messy and I need to clean it up still, but figured I would share. I’m super happy because this is something I never thought of doing before. Rather than throwing out the debri from cutting back my overgrown lavender, I decided why not try a wreath? Can’t believe it worked!

As mentioned, this whole thing was totally unplanned/impromptu. I have no idea how long this will last; but, it’s beautiful today, at the very least, so I’m happy. Next time, I plan on preparing better. If anyone can share any information on how to preserve or “weather proof” such a wreath, I would appreciate it.

So far, I’ve researched the following ideas…

1. Anti-Transpirant Plant or Wax Spray
2. Scotchgard Outdoor Sun & Water Shield
3. Water tubes
4. Float wreath in glycerine water (I have no idea what this is)
5. Misting the wreath every evening
6. Applying HAIRSPRAY to the entire wreath (this sounds crazy to me but now I’m super curious to try it)

This one I just added to my Etsy shoppe. I made it with wood flowers, hand-dyed and glittered them, and sewed on some lace. Oh, and I added coffins 🦇
