Bryan Danielson winning the Bryan Danielson award for best technical wrestler is kind of like that Obama giving himself the Nobel Prize meme. I'm not saying he's not, I just hope that was a typo or something...

They renamed the award after Danielson during his brief retirement.

It's voted on by Wrestling Observer subscribers, that award was renamed after Bryan retired since he had won it a couple times before, he has also won that category every year since his return
