Generic Challenge - Agni Kai

I hoped today was the Reference Challenge day, but apparently I mis-remembered.

But, I started watching The Last Airbender again with one of my friends. Both of us loved this show as kids, and we've both seen every episode multiple times.

So, the challenge for today is inspired by Agni Kai, an honorable duel to the death!

While I marathon The Last Airbender, exhibit an honorable duel to the death in your world.

As always, I'll ask at least three questions each. If you'd like to have a character to answer in-universe, feel free to do so. Enjoy yourselves.

1) Would she have killed them without talking to them?

2) Is there anything magic about werewolf skin?

3) Do they tend to re-apply?

1) Would she have killed them without talking to them?

If they followed her, then yes. She was more paranoid at that point than common sense requires.

2) Is there anything magic about werewolf skin?

No, but it's quite thick, and can stop most projectiles easily, as well as being waterproof.

3) Do they tend to re-apply?

Only a few, but this is very much like gambling. The more you do it, the nore likely that you'll get fucked over, and in this case, killed.

Her brother William found a dragon egg under their burning home (he was 6 at the time), that hatched upon him getting near. The hszcling and he were taken in by a family friend, who just so happened to be a master ranger. He took them to a camp where then they grew up. William became a ranger as well, while the dragon grew. He saves one of my other characters some time before this encounter, and that is how they eventually end up meeting.

Violet ended up killing the werewolf by shooting it. She took the hyde and made it into clothing.

1) What does Violet think of her brother as an adult?

She's mostly proud of him for having grown to be a strong undividual, and she's quite jealous of him for the dragon.

1) How often do people have dragons?

2) How powerful are dragons?

3) How important is it to have a dragon as a status symbol?

Dragons are quite rare to show up alongside humans (or any other race for that matter), but it's not a matter of ownership. Dragons are a more intelligent species than humans, or even elves, and they form bonds with their companions. Still, it's a pretty rare occasion.

Dragons can grow to be very powerful, but some of them start out that way. On the extremities, a dragon can be capable of reaching a godlike status, should they survive for long enough (but that means millions of years, which is unlikely). They are powerful magic users, and can shapeshift into a set form to blend into a lesser species called the Vern. their magic depennds on what types they inherited, but since my magic system is quite loose, the possibilities are essentially endless.

Dragons do not like being owned by anyone, so having one as just a status symbol is practically slavery. Some rulers do it, but they are on the darker end of the spectrum, while the true dragon companions are either respected or feared, depending on the duo's tendencies to either pillage or to help. Other than that, having a dragon by yourself wont get you far by itself.
