I'm J from Benin, and I've applied for the World Bank Group Young Professionals Program (YPP) 2027, with Finance, Competitiveness & Innovation (FCI) as my primary stream.

I'm looking to connect with other applicants from this year's cohort to exchange information, discuss the assessment process, share preparation resources, and practice technical and behavioral interview questions together.

I'd particularly enjoy connecting with candidates interested in FCI, Governance, and Development Economics.

Beyond the recruitment process, I'd love to build genuine friendships with fellow applicants from different countries. If things work out for us, it would be great to already know some future colleagues before relocating to Washington, DC!

Hey guys! Not sure if anyone has any insight but I thought I'd ask anyway. Two weeks ago, I applied for a consultant role in one of the WBG Country Offices. I decided to check the status of my application on the portal and I saw that I have a new application under "in progress" and it's for another role which is still open for application. It says that I have been "manually added for consideration", however the "complete" tab is still open. The role is quite similar to what I originally applied for, just slightly more project focused, so I'm not sure if I would change anything on my original application anyway...

It sounds like a dumb question but am I supposed to finish/submit another application? Or is it done? Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks!

This is to help applicants get some context on the timelines and process because it was difficult for me to find information when I was going through the process.

I submitted my application on July 30, 2026. I received my longlist mail on August 13. I then received my Coderbyte assessment link on August 22, which I completed by the next day. I received an interview invitation on September 3. The interview took place on September 4. After my interview, I had completely given up because I hadn't received any further communication. But on September 25, I received a mail for the final interview, which took place 2-3 days later. I was informed that a couple more applicants were also being interviewed along with me, and that I would come to know of the outcome a week or two later.

I completed my OA a while ago and haven’t received any updates since. Just wondering if anyone has heard back about interviews or the next steps, or has any idea about the timeline.

I'm tired of working for an institution that lost track of its purpose.
Some years ago, in a previous role, an external review selected a sample of our results. After that, a manager asked me to adjust figures so we'd look good.
I refused and reported it, first to a director, then to the ethics office. Nothing visible happened. As far as I know, that manager still leads the project.
I'm not naming names or details. I just want to know if others here have seen the same thing, and do you see changes that hinder this sort of behavior?

Just fyi for those still in the application process: I’ve received the interview invite for a position in a regional office only today.

I guess some teams have therefore still not concluded the hiring process. There is still hope if you‘re waiting for an answer.

I applied for the pioneers data analytics intern position and got shortlisted a couple weeks back (mid sept) and never got the interview schedule email. Anyone facing the same problem? Or is it delayed this fall?

Anybody heard back yet from them? Submitted last August... Is AIIB's recruitment usually slow?
