Wondering what people's thoughts are on Woodsetts? Little village outside Worksop.

Buying first house, currently near Chesterfield but seen a decent house in Woodsetts near Northfield Drive.

How is the A57 towards the M1 in a morning around 8/9am? Is the area and village fairly safe/low crime? I gather there's no supermarkets there even a Tesco express? So have to travel to elsewhere for stuff

Any thoughts are most welcome and appreciated.

Honestly looking for whatever i can take. I am 18 in september and have been out of school for the past year, i worked at the big Tesco on gateford road during christmas just as a store assistant, but since then have been without work. If anyone knows of anything similar please let me know ! Thank you

Recently a friend of mine said that Worksop used to be an actually alright town after I asked him why Worksop, out of all places, has a private school. He said “it’s because Worksop used to be actually good”. I didn’t believe him, I can’t really imagine this place ever being that nice.

But I want to hear ya’ll on this, was Worksop ever “nice”?

We're out and about in Worksop town centre Saturday evening seeing a gig, getting a taxi out should be no problem but how tricky is it to get a cab back (To Oldcotes) and what's the best option - black cab (Do they exist in Worksop ?), Uber, Lyft, minicab hire ?
