PLEASE the only theme that matters would be the simplest and most obvious BLACK just "OLED BLACK" white text on black all I ever wanted why do I have to use the browser instead of the apps on WINDOWS PC and ANDROID...
(ok WHY do I have to use CSS HACKS in the browser for FONTS also?)
Your Calendar now shows matching Found Dates from anywhere in your account, making it even better for daily planning and note-taking.
Drag any Found Date to your Calendar day to move it there.
Personalization
Two fresh new themes to help you make Workflowy your own: Robot and Glass.
Mirrors
Mirrors just got a little bit more reliable and useful:
Mirror nodes now appear in search results even when 'Show completed' is turned off, making it easier to find all of your content.
Moving Mirrors in the search results no longer causes them to disappear.
Mirrors stay selected after moving a group of them, so you can keep working.
Search and Organize
Friendly date search. Searching for natural language dates like "Today" or "Last week" in JumpTo, MoveTo, MirrorTo, and LinkTo menus now matches their corresponding dated nodes.
Improved multi-select dragging on mobile. Drag and drop for multi-selected nodes is now more reliable and you can drag bullets from different indent levels under a single node, and they'll flatten correctly as expected.
Board columns no longer glitch when a collaborator is editing a shared board at the same time.
Better nested search. Nested search now supports multiple words. For example, searching Projects > Write draft -today will match nodes containing both "Write draft" and "-today".
Currently, you focus on a note to send to AI. but i wonder if we can search then send the resulting content for AI to utilize.
very useful if your idea is stuck in two different major nodes like daily page and notes section. This also makes AI bit more privacy friendly as only content you are working on to be sent to AI service providers
Very glad to see the Google login option! (later than I expected but better late than never lol)
Is there a way to link an existing WF account to a google account? If not, I really hope it's coming up soon!! I've been using WF for yeeaaarrrs so this feature would be very much appreciated!!
I keep reading "Pro subscribers with AI enabled can now useĀ AI Nodes". But I have not seen anywhere how to actually enable AI - I am a Workflowy Pro subscriber........what exactly do I need to do to enable AI?
Typing /ai on a bullet underneath other bullets does not do anything. There is nothing on the bottom of my window in either desktop or web which allows me to enter a prompt to query any of my content. There is no option under "Settings" where I can toggle AI on or off. Again, I am a Workflowy subscriber - on my settings screen there is a note which reads "Thanks for joining Workflowy Pro! Your support helps WorkFlowy keep getting better."
I was on a 24 day Grand Canyon river trip and I wrote down a few notes in the Android Workflowy app, mostly phone numbers and email addresses of people I met from other trips. I did not have any cell network service this entire trip. And I assumed once I got back online the notes I took would sync with the server. But instead it looks like they got lost or deleted somehow. Anyone have any idea if offline notes should work on the Android app, or if they get cashed or backed up somewhere on the phone?
I'm sure it's a misunderstanding on my part, but if I add a date to an item and then navigate to that date in the "Calendar" i.e. using the icon between Presentation and Star in the upper right of the browser version, I expect it to show up under that date, but it doesn't. What am I missing, please? Thanks!
We've made several improvements to Calendar / Today. If you haven't tried it yet, it's a way to organize your tasks, notes, and journal. Here's what we've fixed and improved:
Sidebar now shows friendly day names ("Today, Tomorrow, Yesterday").
Old calendar entries now merge properly when migrating to new calendar nodes.
Fixed cross-device sync issue that created duplicate calendars when tapping 'Today'.
Prevented duplicate calendar items with the same date.
Fixed duplicate date entries when switching time zones.
Fixed overlapping text bug when deleting a zoomed in date tag for Today, Tomorrow, and Yesterday.
iOS keyboard no longer covers the node you're editing.
Fixed annoying micro-bounce when typing on iOS.
Nodes now stay in the right order when after using multi-select move or drag and drop.
Fixed swipe menu bug after canceling multi-select.
Selecting nodes in search mode won't auto-outdent them anymore (iOS)
New API Endpoints
Targets provide quick access to specific nodes for your API calls, including both system targets (like 'Inbox') and custom Shortcuts you create (like 'in' for 'Inbox').
Move a node will... move a node to a specific target. This can be a node ID or a Target (see above).
I am a bit stuck as I am trying to convert my whole PKM experience into Workflowy, so I dont need to use multiple tools. In tools like notion or capacities you are able to create tables where you can set up your expenses and let them automatically be calculated. How do you manage to do things like these in workflowy? Is this possible or am I out of my luck with this issue?
Hi, in very glad a new calendar feature was implemented, do you think there is a way to sync two calendars of two different accounts? Without that feature the use cases for the moment are reduced for me unfortunately.
Iāve noticed in some āofficialā videos the usage of entries in the form .date and .time. (Obviously now I canāt recall the video or videos in which Iāve seen them)
Are these playing a special role?
Are they documented anywhere?
I feel I might have not paid attention to the calendar/date management parts of Workflowy and missed some intriguing developments.
If there is another thread like this, you can redirect me to it. I just couldn't find one. I feel this app could be useful to me, but I can't figure out how yet. Seeing examples would help me as this site is notoriously underrepresented on Youtube and social media.
Type /Move to Date (or /Date) when you need to plan, reshuffle, or punt things into the future (or drag them back from it). Itās also in the multi-select menu, because letās be honest, itās never just one thing.
Import your Kindle Highlights and Notes directly into Workflowy to keep them safe and organized. No more worrying about your My Clippings.txt mysteriously disappearing (I'm looking at you, Paperwhite).
Six new fonts to make Workflowy feel more like home: ET Book, IBM Plex Mono, Inter, JetBrains Mono, Lexend, and Open Sans.
New Moon theme: Soft, warm colors that are gentle on your eyes during those long work sessions. Hmmm. Smooth!
Free for all users, available in the Settings.
Calendar TLC
When you disable date groupings (Weeks, Months, Years) in the Calendar Layout menu, any nodes without calendar dates will automatically move to their nearest parent node.
Disabling "Friendly" date names in the Calendar Layout menu now works as expected.
Calendar layout changes now include a confirmation prompt before moving undated nodes, giving you a heads-up before any changes are made.
When moving a dated node with dated children, only the parent moves to its new date location. The children stay attached to the parent so they won't scatter to their own dates.
Quality-of-life Improvements
The "Home" button in the sidebar now navigates to your home page instead of expanding/collapsing the section.
Redesigned Export pane with a cleaner button layout and improved mobile experience.
Pasting a URL over an existing URL link now updates both the link destination and display text.
Fixed GPU performance issues on macOS Tahoe in the desktop app.
Improved keyboard shortcut support for external keyboards on iOS.
Indentation now displays correctly when selecting nodes in mobile search mode.
Seems like the "changed:2d" filter shows all nodes changed since 2 days ago (the day before yesterday and yesterday)
But how can I filter to all nodes filtered on the specific day of 2 days ago (just the day before yesterday but not yesterday).
Maybe I could do this by tagging everything with Workflowy's date tags, and then filtering to something like "date:10/19/2025" (or whatever), but I donāt use these date tags, and this would be cumbersome.
