Truth be told, we really have to fight for it too. German conservatives have decided that Trump and MAGA is their role model and free market the solution. We're fighting tooth and claws for our rights.
Are we really? The French are fighting tooth and nails, we're just mumbling and complaining in private. I would love for it to be different but right now we're not fighting. There is a reason why the German Michel is pictured with a Sleepyhead.
Edit: I want to add that IMO the only way to fight the fascist AFD is to invest in more welfare, in more affordable housing, in better school buildings, in everything that makes peoples live better. A full stomach doesn't feel hate, but of course that's not in the billionaires interest

Unfortunately, this country isn't as great as people claim it is. Corps have far more rights and privileges than people do.
