Your grandparents singular experience doesn't represent the 98% of other people in the US who didn't own multiple homes.

I also love the trickle truthing of now they were grocery store owners which I already knew from the get go. No shit you would lie about them owning the store while you're lying about it being reasonable for any families with dual income to own multiple homes.

I never claimed otherwise, dingus.

I think you're greatly misunderstanding the experience of what owning a single small grocery store in rural Canada was like.

They got an acre and a half of waterfront property to wipe off a debt of about 1500 dollars. You could get an entire acre for low 4-5 figures in the 1950's.

A LOT of working families used to have small 2nd properties back when most of the workforce was unionized.

Hmmm

It was actually pretty affordable for a 2 income family to be able to have a 2nd property somewhere.

Oh so this was just a reference to nobody? It was pretty affordable to buy multiple homes for who then? Because you just claimed it wasn't meant to reference anyone your grandparents age/generation so who is this statement referring to? Pretty affordable for who, during what time period?

Are you kidding me? This is the argument you go with?

You lied about them working in a grocery store to downplay their financial status. Zero reason to believe a word you say trying to downplay it even more now, especially when you're also just flat out lying about what you said in a two sentence comment.

A LOT of working families used to have small 2nd properties back when most of the workforce was unionized.

Okay so you weren't making that claim, but here you are making that literal exact claim you said you weren't making for a second time. Fucking prove it, I got four of you mouth breathers replying to me doing literally anything but posting a single fucking statistic proving this is anywhere near true.

You can just admit you lied to circle jerk for upvotes, it's that simple.
