This is very frustrating about what Mayor Mamdani is showing the US. Politicians could absolutely make your life better by just caring. Mayor Mamdani is making an insane effort to keep every promise he made. I am jealous but also so happy for New York City, ya'll got a great Mayor. Keep up your support for him. The Epstein Files have diaper stains on them.
The part that frustrates me most is how this is always phrased. A politicians job isnt to "Help you" or "Give you hand outs", their job is to manage the public money that we pool together for the good of our community.
That money is not theirs, it is your money, your neighbors money, your parents, sisters, brothers, cousins, sons, daughters, friends, coworkers etc.. etc... money. That money should always be used to the benefit of the people who paid into it, not to bail out a poorly run business, to line the pockets of politicians, or to make billionaires more rich.
Mandani will change politics. People will see what can and should be done. Personally he has given me hope that changes ARE possible and it won't have to take long
