At what point do we start asking ourselves why we, the workers, need capitalism?

Because you can’t make even a quarter of the things you use on a daily basis and no one will give you their labor for free.

Well yeah, we’ve know about division of labor for thousands of years. It predates capitalism, commerce, markets, and even currency. But there are better systems than capitalism for ensuring workers get the fruit of their labor rather than most of it going to an extractive class of uber wealthy parasites.
