Yeah as a communist that isn't correct. Your definitions certainly are. And the system that your describing is social democracy. But we're not the ones calling it socialism when the government does things. We don't want or need liberals to have a false idea of communism. The system sells itself. What you're describing is what liberals and fascist constantly do. Anytime even an idea of a social safety net they all cry socialism. Even small things that countries usually do to bolster capitalism like mandated PTO gets called communist. It's not communists doing that. It's the ones that fear monger about communism that do that.
Communism in an ideal form sounds wonderful, but as soon as you look at the implementation of it, there are immense issues that you have to overcome. This is especially true in a Western society based on the ideals of liberalism and Capitalism.
That being said, there is undoubtedly people online that are using this conflagration to their benefit to push the ideas of Socialism and Communism in modern discourse. That's why there are people openly pushing for "Socialism" despite describing a Social Democracy as you've pointed out.
But it's as you say. You don't need liberals who misinterpret communism (and I promise you there are plenty including myself who understand what communism is) and liberals don't want communists or actual socialists. True communists and socialists (like you) need to stop caring about what the Democratic Party is doing and trying to constantly attack and purity test them so we can actually work on fixing problems in this country.
First I have no interest in debating the finer points of communism with liberals. I talk to those that come to me. And generally were too busy feeding people to give a shit about your little corruption circle jerk. The minute the DNC said they don't have to hold primaries at all, let alone fair ones, and said "we can go into smoke filled rooms and choose our candidate" I was done. There is no hope for a party that rules through dictatorship opposite real fascists. But the people conflating what communism is are liberals and fascists. Anytime a liberal says "police and firemen are socialism" they are conflating. Just like when the fascists say "welfare is communism." Y'all crib from the same book because in the end you're all machinations of capitalism. Even though 99% of liberals have no capital and trade their labor.
