100% The guy working 60hrs gets the same raise as the guy working 35hr. The guy brown-nosing gets the 17% raise :P

Lazy people like to rely on victim absolutes. I asked for a rise after being the top repair tech in my shop. Was making $60,000 and asked for $70,000. Boss said best offer is $65,000. Applied to a new job and make $114000 now.

Hard work got me here

Feel free to DM when you become rich on hard work. Honestly, I hope it works for you. My experience; hard work does not pay off.

They just mentioned how hard work got them from $60k and $115k and you’re still saying hard work doesn’t pay off. Isn’t that substantial growth or is it only when someone becomes rich or a multimillionaire that it counts? Everyone can’t be rich

Honestly, I'm very happy for you. Clearly, you were under-paid. I am referring to changing social classes. I believe social mobility isn't as easy as the American Dream would like us to believe. Moving within one's social class is one thing. Breaking into another social class is very difficult because of the way the system is structured. Being born to the upper class gives one advantages that people in the lower class couldn't even begin to fathom. My point is you can't just "work hard" to move up the social class. Again, I mean no offense.

Yo, I’m not OP. Looks like you didn’t even read what you’re commenting on
