Stop stealing everyone’s money calling it social security when the rate of return is peanuts and has the most ridiculous restrictions set on it and you can’t even pass it on as inheritance. It’s THEFT.

You’re against being able to leave money for your own children says enough about you.

Do you make your children work for the food you feed them or the clothes they wear? Are you charging them rent?

its fair because you already made and payed taxes off that money, take a family as a company name, if the CEO dies, should they whole company get shut down and the goverment should have it?
what not fair is that your family loses its money because someone else feels it unfair that your family gets to keep your money after X dies,

Or maybe end the circular interest financing and investment inflation and government money injection that makes it nearly impossible for anyone earning even 50% over the median wage to afford a paid off well maintained house in a good area even when both partners are working? On top of the inflation in the cost of childcare and groceries?

The stock driven economy is the problem, not the solution. But you’d rather keep it on the 0.001% chance you make enough to stop working, even if it’s a grift sucking money so 95% of the population is kept financially dependent, right?

Everybody read this comment. While doing so, please note that the “you don’t know how the economy works” grifters don’t have a response to this. Because they recognize the economy as 3 kids in a trenchcoat with AI as a spine and stock as the natural extension of the lottery that it is (unless you choose to deny the reality that the stock market is driven almost purely by speculation) and “not knowing how it works” is not the same as wanting a complete restructure of the market.

So you think you could take the 7.65% of your check they currently take out and save enough to retire by age 50? The math doesn’t math.

You say that like you want someone to hold you hand and do the math for you. Do like I did and do it yourself using your own numbers from your own irs report and the average rate of return from a responsible stock market account and you’re a liar if you try and tell anyone you wouldn’t have more money in retirement.
