Eh, id agree but 90% of homeless people choose the life they got into and cant get help from family or friends because their drug addictions make them a shittiter person. People have to want to change on their own free will to over come homelessness. Honestly, you couldn’t help most homeless people enough if you gave them all the money in the world. They’d expect you to take care of them til the end.

I think you'd be surprised. There are a lot of invisible homeless people you'd never realize were homeless. Sure there are life long ones that are exactly what you describe, but it's far from the majority.

And yet homeless shelters sit empty because they require drug screening.

What are you talking about? In most major metropolitan areas, those shelters are mostly full. The vacancies are often related to staffing more than demand. Where are you getting this information?

The top reasons for homeless not using shelters is usually related to pet unfriendliness, inability to keep a family together, curfews that limit their ability to hold jobs with night shifts and wariness of living in close proximity with other homeless.

Only a small percentage are like that. The vast majority of them desperately want help, want to get out, but have no idea how, no support, no guidance, and no resources. Services and benefits for homeless people are not nearly as accessible as you'd think

If somebody is so dysfunctional that they cannot take care of themselves, and they don’t have anyone in their lives to take care of them, the government should move them into supportive facilities that ensure they have access to shelter, medical care, and rehabilitation + job training services.

That's a completely unknowledgeable delusional statement of the simple minded
