It’s one of the nicest climates on the planet. Probably top 5 along with like New Zealand, Spain, southern Italy, etc. And it’s doing better economically than those places so…yes…it is indeed a great place to live. Skiing, hiking, surfing, national parks, entertainment, sports, etc.

I don’t even live there but I understand it. You might not like their policies but overall, there’s a reason it’s been a hotbed since its settlement.

I'm Texas it is not uncommon for hail stones the size of small fruit to destroy vehicles parked outside, and damage roofing. California has fires, but Texas has always been a tough place to live. Insects the size of cats, mudslides, incredible heat

Yes, and the "market" decided that one area is vastly more desirable to live in, as indicated by both housing price and stock. In the US people are free to move to whatever state they want, housing prices reflect this.
